Just wondering if anybody has ever seen a tablet with a custom case? I have an Eken M001 on its way and pondering building one from wood since woodworking is my blowing off steam, get away from it all hobby. Build in a kick stand(maybe one that works in landscape and portrait), leave in a little room for a battery mod, maybe come up with a way to fit in a better speaker facing forward (or stereo speakers if possible). Sort of like the Vers wood cases for the ipad except replacing the original case instead of just sliding the tablet in, which is just to bulky IMO.

Hi Tron, I took your idea of the book cover, but I found a piece of dense foam the same size as the book, traced around the eken, then cut out the centre (Just inside the trace line). I then used double sided tape to stick the 'frame' of foam to the book. It has the protection all around the edge, and doesn't need any for of fixing on the eken itself as the foam frame holds it in. I also cut a groove into the foam to hold a stylus.
