Before tackling the design of the unit, let's look at absolute nothingness offered by Cube. Only a USB cable and charger and a SIM tray extraction tool supplied with the new manufacturer's tablet.

Once the tablet out of the box, it must be recognized that the first impression is good. The tablet immediately inspires amazement through its finish and especially finesse. Indeed, the Cube Talk 9X or U65GT measures only 7.5 mm thick, that is to say exactly the same thickness as the iPad Air known for its finish and design.

Cube Talk 9X blancheMais the nod to the Apple brand does not necessarily stop there. The U65GT is also a little closer in design (although it would be wrong to say that the tablet has no identity).

The finish is at the rendezvous, the back is of excellent quality, as the contours of aluminum.

Cube proves that it is possible to make a successful tablet, stylish and affordable.

Regarding the various connectors that equips the 9X, we find the Cube Talk 9Xhabituels 3.5 mm jack, Micro SD slot, Micro USB port and drawer insert a SIM Micro as you can see, the tablet Cube Talk 9X is compatible 3G . By cons, no HDMI port!

Finally, and to end the dimensions of the device, the Cube Talk 9X displays a weight of 560 grams. This may seem a bit heavy in theory but yet the tablet is well in hand and is not necessarily too heavy (unlike Cube U30GT2 for example). See to taste.

Menus and applications:

Cube Talk 9XOn now to the party software before attacking you are interested, performance.

The Cube Talk 9X runs Android 4.4 KitKat without the manufacturer's overlay, the only change is the screen when you turn on the first tablet.

Point more unpleasant, the tablet has a lot of Chinese applications PhoneDroid withdraw before sending but are at least present if you order it elsewhere.

Apart from this, the software part is effective, greatly helped by Android KitKat offering a superior user experience to previous drafts. No specific to deplore bug, the tablet does not seem to suffer from youthful indiscretion.

Performance:

Cube Talk 9X AntutuQu'on it be said right away, when Cube announced its tablet and the score was announced over 40 000 points, I did not believe it.

Why? Because the tablet features a MediaTek MT8392 processor octa-core very similar to the famous MT6592 that appears no more than 28,000 points.

It is to my surprise I found a Antutu score over 37,000 points when I started the test so appreciated geeks that we are!

To my knowledge, no tablet displays such a score yet (to do with the new Onda Pipo future).

I issue still a reserve on point, its graphics chip. Indeed, the Cube Talk 9X uses a Mali 450 chip as the octa-core smartphones MediaTek. This chip is clearly not the best on the market. So if its processor will show extremely high performance, the graphics chip of the Cube Talk 9X is not his strength. However, I can assure you right now, the heaviest games I've had the opportunity to try and offered excellent rendering was perfectly fluid. We are facing a chip environment clearly sufficient range.

Finally, and this is the most important, the tablet is a remarkable fluidity Internet use for example. No slowdown was reported.

Screen, audio and video part:

Cube Talk 9X écran9,7 inches is definitely a very nice size, especially when the tablet in question has a resolution as high as 2048 x 1536.

The text display is impeccable, Internet browsing also at the same time.

But for the rest? That gives U65GT made in general?

Well I would say a nice screen. It's not the best I have had the opportunity to see, but the overall effect is very homogeneous. His report is balanced and does not saturate as with many manufacturers. The slab is light or very bright. By Cube Talk 9X écrancontre, sunlight readability is not at the rendezvous.

Positive, the tablet offers very good viewing angles thanks to IPS.

Let's go to the audio that is not necessarily excellent, the speakers do the job as trivially said. The overall volume can rise relatively high without much saturation but the whole lack of bass and bass.

End with the photo and video part, the rear camera 8MP actually rather good job! For a tablet, rendering is good. Certainly less than a good camera or even a powerful smartphone for a tablet but I was pleasant surprised. The front camera is certainly the best I have had the opportunity to see on a shelf. Perfect for a Skype video conference.

The video part is rather correct, helped by Android KitKat and its array of rework and settings.

Network connectivity, GPS:

406462Commençons by listing what the Cube Talk 9X can do in terms of connectivity.

Compatible 3G, WiFi, GPS, OTG, FM Radio, Bluetooth, Wireless Display, I do not see what's missing in this tablet.

As I said earlier, the tablet offers a Micro SIM slot and supports any French operator with its 3G 900 and 2100 MHz compatibility.

You can also make calls using the Cube U65GT but you will be required to use a Bluetooth headset or hands-free kit, the tablet does not have a speaker for your communications (for those who have the idea absurd to call the tablet by hand).

The GPS works quite well, I had a detection ten seconds of a sufficient number of satellite. Thanks to its Micro USB charging, you can easily connect the tablet to your cigarette lighter and use it as a GPS car.

Finally, the WiFi works well, nothing to report from that side.

Battery life:

SmartphoneOn self test ends as usual with the autonomy of the Cube Talk 9X.

The tablet displays a huge 10,000 mAh battery that will ensure you on paper a very good battery life.

But in reality? I tried to run out the beast in standard use (Facebook, mail, Internet, YouTube) and it turns out that I held about 7:45 making autonomy rather good but not great either.

The flip side of this is his big battery charging time, it will take longer than average to charge such a big battery. I recommend you leave it charging overnight.

Before concluding, the usual presentation video!

Conclusion:

Cube hits hard in a sector where we had not seen since the Cube U30GT2, high-end tablets. The Cube Talk 9X is a very good tablet that shows the maturity of the brand, the product is mastered, well finished and very powerful. Although some details slightly mar the user experience, we are facing a tablet that will be difficult to compete at this price and above this level of performance!

Liked:

Very high performance

Android KitKat without overlay

Full connectivity (3G 900 MHz)

Finishing, design and overall finesse

The display and wide viewing angles

Photo and video rendering not bad at all

I did not like:

No HDMI, a shame for a tablet of this performance

Mali 450 graphics chip that task a little high level of performance

The rather long recharge time

Yes Sir, your review is absolutely valid. I have also one of tthose tablets and am mostly satisfied. Espeecially I likke the gaming performance and the lasting battery. Have never heaard of a tablet with such high battery performance 10000mah. If the label for this tablet had been samsung or iphphad it would cost at least trice the price now. Is there any development going on forthis tablet?
