Wondering if any one noticed this bug and if they know how to replicate it?

When the cruze if powered on but screen turned off, after a few minutes off it turning off the LCD on some roms sometimes gets triggered on but the backlight stays off.

In normal light you can barly notice it, but at night it is just bright enough to act as a really colourfull bedside clock.

Anyone know how to trigger this perminantly?

Thanks

In some circles this is referred to as an "insomia" state, or half sleep. The issue has been widely seen in eclair builds.
Most people have an interest in avoiding it as it is a battery drain.. what about the state is desirable to you?

I can see why you would want to get rid of it as it would drain the battery.

However when plugged in, at night, the LCD provides just enough light to be able to see the screen, without excessive light making it perfect for a bed-side clock/information display.
In Contrast lowering the bridghness of the backlight is WAY to bright and eluminates the whole bedroom.

I have it displaying the Time, Weather, amount of new e-mails, latest calls, etc
