Does Android 1.5 have a default Contacts app? My Apad arrived without one.If not can anyone suggest a good contacts app on marketplace. I don't need anything fancy but I would like to be able to sync with my Outlook 2007 contacts on my PC (Vista 32 bit).

AFAIK a synch with Outlook is only possible with the HTC units and the special HTC synch.Normaly contact synch is only possible online with the Google contacts app at the device and your Google account.

To follow up on what Jenne said, I tried to pull the HTCContacts.apk off my Cupcake phone and it did not install on the aPad. aContacts is a good contact manager, but it does not synch with Outlook.

As I mentioned above, I don't appear to have a Google Contacts app on my device. Is this standard?

Yes, only non-vanilla Android phones get Google Applications pre-installed.
