Yeah, we've known for a LONG time now that the cases are identical to dawa's barring some of the ports... the mbs could be the same, but I just watched avideo the other day at shanzhai.com (IIRC) about a place in Shenzhen where you could buy components/boards from various makers to potentially create your own tablet/phone just buying and assembling the pieces... The guy doing the report also mentioned the great availability of "generic" cases as well... the gist of the article/video seemed to be that it's possible for small companies to bbuy the pieces already made and just assemble them, however pointing that not before too long that IF you lived in China you might one day(soonish) be able to walk into a market and pick up all the hw + case that you need to make your very own tablet. Of course that still leave you stuck for OS probably, unless the board maker supplied a version and even more helpfully kernel source or patch set against a known generic base tree, e.g. the base generic Google tree...anyways the point was maybe has anyone actually tried to contact Dawa directly? Maybe someone who speaks Chinese here might be a better one to send any requests and/or might be able to find out more info for us about Dawa... I'm not too sure that ATM I would want to contact them directly yet... don't want to upset anyone at Daw/Augen/elsewhere...Another thing to check, which I forgot about last night would be to look at the kernel version strings to see if it looks like they're built by the same guy...
