ADB remount or any adb commands won't work because your PC does not detect the device. This means that the adb drivers are somehow not installed.

Ok. There is one last thing that I can think of that you should try.
Uninstall all related drivers. Remove the Nexus7 or Chuwi device from device manager. Download the driver pack on my main post. Refresh device manager, DO NOT let windows search and install drivers, they won't find anything. Select drivers manually and direct it to my driver pack (extract it please).

If this doesn't work, lemme know and we'll work something out.

If it works, consider a donation. It'll motivate me to keep up the good work.
ok i tried this on my netbook and manage to install the drivers using your drivers pack. Somehow the drivers in my desktop is screwed. Probably due to plugging too many brand of tablets already.

Anyway..manage to run the rootenabler on my netbook.

Thanks for the hardwork. I will definitely consider donating.

Nice. Glad to hear it all worked out.

Just to finish up, was your desktop by any chance running on windows8?

did you get the root to work ?
If yes, what did you do ?

Look up. That's the solution. Let me know if you have any further issues.
Hi, it didn't work.
When I connect the tablet and install the driver for the unknown entry in device manager I receive the message that the device can't be activated - so adb finds no device. Uninstslling drivers shows nexus 7 afterwards when connecting. Driver install again doesn't help.
Any idea?
Thanks

Did you manually select drivers or did you allow windows to do it automatically? Because you're actually supposed to manually direct them to the drivers that I have posted.
Updated main post with poll.

The new 4.2.2 update by default has the phablet UI (aka nexus 7 ui).

Please vote if you would like it to go back to the Tablet UI or if you like it like this.

After some time has passed, I will then release TimelessV88 Rom on a separate thread.

Using an early build of my TimelessV88 Rom V0001. I might rename it though. Anyhow, it's going to blow your socks off.

I'm liking the Phablet UI so far. The first release of my custom rom will be using the phablet UI. When more people request for Tablet UI, I will release one.
Update: I'm having some issues with my Rom Making tools, seems like my modifications result in the "Obtaining IP address" loop.
This is tough work. I have flashed my V88 over 50 times and still no end in sight. I would appreciate it if you guys would

I'll post the repack first before my true custom rom comes out.

UPDATES: I will not be releasing a repack nor a custom rom based on the 4.2.2 firmware released on 3-06-13. It's simply too buggy, the only real improvement is that everything seems smoother but at an unacceptable costs of bugs. One example being broken battery usage data
Hey is there anyway to change the build prop to maybe a Samsung Galaxy note or s3 with the Mali 400? It seems a few of the Gameloft games that have been optimized for the nexus 7 Tegra 3 don't seem to like the Rockchip and Mali in the Chuwi.. asphalt 7 in particular has a lot of odd freezing.
Hi Lambstone, I just updated to your ROM and it was a pretty painless process kudos to your clear instructions. Interestingly I'm having WiFi disconnect issues now when previously under the 26 April version WiFi was OK. Do you have any ideas or fix?

My guess is this is an issue with the RK3188 chipset. I have another RK3188 tablet and encountered the same issues. That being said, it could be your wireless router. When I rebooted the router, it works fine for a while.

Otherwise, try this app Wifi Timeout App

What the above app does is that it disconnects wifi upon sleep and reconnects upon wake. Re-initializing wifi this way seems to be a non-intrusive way of managing the wifi issue.

Lemme know how it goes.
Hi! I haven't been able to root the device after flashing the repack. While device connected and driver installed, adb says no device found. Any suggestions? I using windows 7 on the PC I'm connecting tablet with.
FDS,

Check out the root thread for answers. You most likely don't have your USB or ADB drivers installed correctly.

Ok, my guess about drivers was wrong, ADB device driver is needed, not the rockchip drivers shipped with batchtool.
To all hello, prompt and how to stitch kernel?
Hi just repacked my v88 all done successfully but now tablet wont power on in any state.
