Is there any way of confirming this? If it is true I shall have to update the FAQ specs (yet again)

It would come down to if this is a true new revision with new internals ... which is possible but unlikely. If the units still contain the WM8505 they are still running at ~300 Mhz and no more. The faster ones are called something different (i.e. WM85xx in the series). Honestly, I'd rather have a hardware mp4 decoder then a faster processor, but the WM8505 has neither.

Now the question is can the device be upgraded with the new specs. Since the cpu is on a removable card so it should be possible. would be interesting to try.
