I'm using android 1.7.2. trying to make adb work with winxp. followed the steps in [GUIDE] ADB, Fastboot, and Nandroid for Noobs - xda-developers (steps not meant for flytouch?) So, Idownloaded android-sdk_r06-windows.zip,run SDK Setup.exe to install usb drivers,added adb variable and path to environment, checked usb debugging on the phone.when I connected the phone to pc, it's connected as usb mass storage. so I followed the steps, used USBDeview.exe to uninstall this driver: "File-backed Storage Gadget Linux File-Stor Gadget USB Device". Unpluged phone and re-pluged. it's connected as usb mass storage once again. rebooted both computer and phone, no difference.what am I missing? Do I need to "root" flytouch to use adb? If so, how?

If it helps, when I connect my Gnome to my PC using a generic iPod dock connector to USB cable the computer can see the tablet and the SD card as two separate drives, and the tablet knows it's connected by USB.However, in SDK mode the PC can't see the tablet, it will only connect by WiFi (adb connect IP address:5555). As long as USB Debugging is set (menu/applications/manage/applications/development/usb debugging) it connects easily.Just click on your connected network in WiFi settings for the IP address.

I just want the market to work so i tried to get it to work, i installed connectbot and superuser, connected with adb and couldn't get the account.db to work... kept saying need to be suid to do that and no matter what i try i cant seem to pull account.dbAny ideas how i can root this device? ALSO i had to install "LY-706 Firmware I've contacted the seller and got the firmware. It is 1.7.4. Buttons work as the should. P.S.
