First check this link, http://www.slatedroid.com/f84/finally-my-market-works-download-apps-3644/Second, the offical firmware (as your slate will be) doesnt have root access so you will need to install one of the other ROM's that has.IMO, ecotox is best for this as its ready to go and no need to hack.
