Hello everyone. I'm a Windows software developer, but a complete noob when it comes to Android. I just purchased a M003 and it seems like a cool little pad.But I cannot get it to connect to any Wi-Fi APs. My home one is protected by WPA2 security, and a neighbour's is open. The pad recognizes both APs both by name and by it's encryption. But when I try to connect to either one, the best signal strength I can get is "Fair" and after a long time waiting, I'm continually getting "Connection unsuccessful, select to try again".Is this a common problem with these things, or are there some things I can try to solve this problem? Thanks for any and all help.Dave

I get sort of crappy reception, and my router isn't all that far away. I'm getting 2 bars on average. 3 if I'm really close. There is a thread here RE modding your M003 to maybe get better reception at the following: http://38.99.171.104/~slatedr1/showthread.php/3425-Improve-your-Wifi-receptionAlso, here's info on dis-assembly of your M003: http://www.circuitdb.com/articles/19There is a thread somewhere on here, but it just links to the link above, if I am remembering correctly. Thanks to the original posters.

Hunf, mine seems to be some kind of problem with wifi authentication. I was using WPA then changed to WPA2, but just connected smoothly with no auth required.I'm using the original Eken firmware, could I have a better auth with some of the firmwares available around here?

[quote name='bobby2010;26538]sharch' date=' if you have 1.7.4 wifi should be pretty good.[/QUOTE'] I'll try to reflash it with some custom firmware, there's also the market thing that don't let "agree with the terms".
