Good day! Tried using the 1.90 firmware from the Eken M001 tablet subforum in my MID M70003; touch screen and Menu button were not working. Can only use the firmware via mouse. Animated start screen is very nice, and tablet reaction seems snappier (via mouse anyway). Also, pdf loads faster. Can we copy files in the 1.6 script so that this 1.9 firmware can be used?

Good day!The firmware 1.6 in this thread is ok, with all buttons, touch screen and battery life quite good, although slow and not as responsive with 1.9 (using a mouse). Still has not tested the wifi thoroughly.

So am I correct to say this is a M001 clone ?
could be with diferent touchscreen.my findings between both tablets are that the M70003 is faster but touch screen is a lot less responsive, I really dont understand why this speed diference as hardware is the same.Battery life is worst than M001Buttons are diferent and similar to aPad.VIA processor7" screen 128mb ram and if you need more details I have one open since few weeks.

Looking at the code it seems to be the case that the only real differences between the M7003 and then Eken units are the drivers.A quick and simple test would be to copy the M7003 drivers over the M001 ones in the script's drivers folder. This would at least prove if the drivers work with the 1.9.0 SDK base.

Roger...please let us know when we can access your m70003 firmware. I think we are one more upgrade away from making the device an awesome one. My apad isn't charging much at all, if at all...that's my only gripe. Otherwise, it's a nice device overall.

I just tried both the Eken 001 and 003 versions of 1.9, then copied all the drivers from my M70003 1.74 scriptdrivers folder over to the Eken scripts. Both booted ok, bit both disabled the menu button on the right, so screen remains locked and I cannot get into the device. Cool android dance though. Flashing back to 1.74 for now.

Good day! What is the latest development on the conversion of 1.9 to M70003? From one thread, aviatormotivator is already testing the initial compilation of Roger Calver, with some minor issues, any news?

How do you do when you copy the drivers from the 1.9 firmware onto the M70003? Do you create a script.zip with the 1.9 drivers or do you just copy them over to the M70003 via the USB cable?
