Well, I guess the basic PDN software, the B&N stuff, is pretty sub-standard, slow, prone to crashing, etc... but the build quality of this unit is wonderful.I don't advise you to try this, but I have now dropped my PDN twice from table height onto a carpeted floor with one of those plastic chair protectors covering the rug. And it just keeps on keepin on. I guess I just have a little dark cloud over me... or I am accident prone, take your pick. To me, this thing seems very sturdy.

ehh.... drop it a few more times and your lucks bound to change :-/Had a buddy who dropped his once after he got it, thing turned on while on the floor by itself.Thing seems to like abuse.

Mine has bounced at least once as the dog ran by the short power cord and pulled it off the table...anyone else wish the power cord was longer for this thing?Does seem like a sturdy little unit though!

My dog has pulled my netbook off my table, as well as a Wii. I think there's a massive doggie conspiracy to rob us of our beloved electronics.
