Doesn't matter. It's taking resources from the white, which is just plain better. It needs to strangle on the ground. It should have strangled on the vine. Carrying the fruit analogy, if it gets to the store there could be a problem.

Dude, when they start putting sale prices on the Cruz equal to the PDN, that's when it's over. But since it looks like the same machine inside, does it really matter (especially if FW upgrades work in both.)

Unless you're worried about something we call "integrity." They said they engineered it. Maybe they did. Doesn't look like it. They called it "The world’s first affordable touch screen color ereader" on their website. How do you trust them on their claims if at least some of they've said appears untrue? Hell, if they put the cruz on sale and I'm not gearing up for something better - maybe even the cruz tablet if the specs warrant it - I'd consider buying one, but I'm not enthused about the fact that they're selling. I was the ORIGINAL Pandiginut, remember? Assuming the two are comparable, I CAN'T have much beef with the VMCR, except for philosophical issues.

Pandiginuts in the larger sense. I will go ahead and add you, but you have to do the homework.

LOL, I didn't know there's be a test. I have been spreading to gospel to the heathens on Facebook though, kinda like healing lepers.

Not to ruin lawman's fun in hating on the black PDN, but there is one potential upside for the black that the white may never match: A wireless chipset that doesn't suck, and (I think) someone found it also has bluetooth capability as well. I guess we'll see, though, it could easily be just as bad.

Until I can get the VCM Reader for $130 (or less), the white PDN still rules the roost. Especially if the hardware / performance is the same.EDIT: hmmmm, I'm considering popping over to my local BJ's, after I return my white PDN (the "dev" one, not my day-to-day one). That's assuming BJ's has a decent return policy.

You mean the gentouch? I already went through that exercise - except for video playback, that device sucked big time. I was happy to return it.

You are talking about Velocity Micro Cruz, right? Isn't that VMC? Don't want a typo to rule. I noticed MP4 called it VCM too. Just asking.I guess the reader will be the VMCR & the tablet VMCT?Cheers, kev

Sorry... I returned the PDN.CPG.[/QUOTE']Well, I had my reasons for returning my gentouch over the PDN. They were:- Price. $45 more is a big jump, considering that the PDN was only $107 for me. That more than a 30% jump.- No accelerometer on the Gentouch.- Mine had a bad pixel. Granted, I could go out today and buy another one if I wanted. But 3 weeks ago it was impossible to find one.- Cheap feel to it versus the PDN. I actually like the weight of the PDN, but that's just me.- 2.5mm headphone jack. Having to carry around a converter is an annoyance.- That SD slot was awful. Bad engineering - I shouldn't have to worry about my card falling in.- The UI was beta and buggy. Granted, they probably fixed a lot of those issues by now.The price was the real killer. If it was $110, I would have had to ponder keeping it over the PDN. But that wasn't the case. But, the video playback was always excellent on it, so points for that. Plus, it played WMA's which was another good selling point for me.
