The default ROM ships with RealPlayer. After doing the cleanup, I wanted to re-install from the market, but after installing RealPlayer from the market, I am less than impressed. It didn't play the Hd samples I downloaded (WMV), and there are no audio controls, and it goes out of sync. What video software is king on this device?

I like WMP. It's convenient to have the buttons on the side of the ZT-180 actually control the volume.

[quote name='SoundSurfer;44913]For me' date=' the best one is mVideoPlayer. It loads subtitles in .srt and .ass formats. For those watching mkv files, just extract the subtitle file from the mkv and it works.[/QUOTE'] Thanks! I will give it a try.

I've tried RockPlayermPlayerActOne playerRealPlayerThey are all much the same, my issue is that the results are highly variable, sometimes everything is great, sometimes video, regardless of source, is choppy and out of sync.

Honestly I don't think ZT-180 is capable of playing full movies. I've tried all, and I have latest firmware 1030.After a couple of minutes playing a DivX movie, with all players already mentioned in this post, the system just crashes. I have to restart.Maybe it's my particular movie, the resolution, the size, the encoding, I don't know. But anyways, I feel it's to much job for the CPU.

I always convert my videos to mp4. And i don't get the point to play full HD movies. The HD movies i convert and make the resolution so it fits the screens resolution. Why have more?Mp4 seems to play very well in all players for me. Smooth and no sync problems.I use XMedia Recode when i convert. Works fine imo.But i do really miss a hardware volume button.

Easy Way to Rip DVD Hi, I have found an extremely simple and currently free program that converts DVD's to MKV files that are playable using Real Player on the ZT180. It is called makemkv.go to all the w's makemkv.com/I could only convert files if I used file and then open and then navigate to DVD drive.Plays smooth, no lip synch problems with Real Player.good discussion here:http://www.slatedroid.com/zt-180/10178-movie-question.html

mVideoPlayer gets my vote - and I am just running the free version of that.Has anyone tried the full version - are there any other benefits with that version?Did not like RockPlayer - it went out of sync very quickly, and picture quality was not great.

I just renamed a few really old mpg videos I had to avi, no conversion just renamed, seems mVideoPlayer is playing them well, and renamed some flvs to mov, also playing well, wonder if it's because I also have rockplayer installed or was it always like that...
