I bought a non-descript, el cheapo (£44 incl.) 7" tablet running ICS 4.0.3. It is described as "Processor: Allwinner-A10 1.5GHz Multi Core + Mali-400 GPU @350MHZ" (but the cpu is only running at 1GHZ, and the screen is at a resolution of 800*480). Various tools identity it as an "A710".
I was surprised to see that it beat the Teclast A15 hands down in almost all of these benchmarks. I am not sure whether this is due to the better optimisation of ICS, or the fact that the A710 is running at a screen resolution of 800*480, or whether the Allwinner+Mali-400 combination is simply better than the RK2918+GC800 combination, or a mixture of all of these!
Anyone care to comment on the capabilities of the Teclast hardware?
Anyway, here are the benchmarks for the Chinese "A710" 7inch tablet (with Teclast A15 results in square brackets for comparison):
