Benchmarks for Teclast A15

Having read the benchmarks of the Wopad i7, I have decided to post my own benchmarks of my Teclast A15 (running the stock Gingerbread 2.3.1, kernel version 2.6.32.27).

Anyone comparing these benchmarks with those posted for the Wopad i7 should note that the Wopad was running at a screen resolution of 800x840, while the Teclast is running at a screen resolution of 1280x800. This difference in screen resolution has a quite significant impact on the results, and should be borne in mind when interpreting the benchmark data.

I bought a non-descript, el cheapo (£44 incl.) 7" tablet running ICS 4.0.3. It is described as "Processor: Allwinner-A10 1.5GHz Multi Core + Mali-400 GPU @350MHZ" (but the cpu is only running at 1GHZ, and the screen is at a resolution of 800*480). Various tools identity it as an "A710".

I was surprised to see that it beat the Teclast A15 hands down in almost all of these benchmarks. I am not sure whether this is due to the better optimisation of ICS, or the fact that the A710 is running at a screen resolution of 800*480, or whether the Allwinner+Mali-400 combination is simply better than the RK2918+GC800 combination, or a mixture of all of these!

Anyone care to comment on the capabilities of the Teclast hardware?

Anyway, here are the benchmarks for the Chinese "A710" 7inch tablet (with Teclast A15 results in square brackets for comparison):
