I just received an email from Amy at chinagrabber about the M16 and M16+."These will ship July 12 to the 15th. Apologies for the delay but the PCB boards had shortage. The M16+ should be in stock a bit sooner but they have different specs."So just in case anyone was wondering about the change in shipping dates like I was, now you know.

emily wang, i emailed her aliexpress account the other day. Asked her about the tablet, how it runs and that. She dosent hold back, she was quite honest, from what ive heard here in the forums she is bang on the money. She told me its runnning unoptimized although it runs 2.1 she told me it cannot download from the market place. How would u get apps on it if u cant access the market place. I was going to buy the 10 inch one from her, but i have no knowlege of flashing anything, and i like to be able to get android apps.
I made a quick video showing what I'm talking about.
you could download the apps via the webbrowser, download them on another computer copy them to the tf card and run from there, my W1060 running 2.1 has no market (would love to know how to get it on there) it just takes a bit of fiddling to find and dload the apps
Oh, I forgot to mention that when I rotate the tablet, I can hear and feel something large moving around inside.

FC's forums will probably provide instructions on how to flash new firmware.

Just curious. That sucks that they didn't pack it into another box to protect it. I can't understand why they wouldn't.
doesnt sound good, the g-sensor shouldnt be clunky like that so wouldnt think its that, maybe the battery came loose?
They shipped via UPS.Still waiting to hear back from chinagrabber. It actually booted once today, then I went into the web browser and the screen got all funky (gray and white lines going from one side of the screen to the other, just like in the video I posted, but gray and white) and the system froze. The reset button has shifted, making it very difficult to push, and the power button has now shifted, making it very hard to power on. I swear, this thing is a piece of junk. For the price I paid, I expected better (better quality product, better service, etc.).
send it back, sounds like a mess!
Thats the only problem with kit from far away.... I'm not doubting its not going to get replaced but the exense just adds on and you feel let down..... its things like this that make me look twice which is a shame.....BTW - I'd say its probably a connector to the pannel rather than the device if thats any help ?Terran

I thought because you paid a lot more that you would have gotten something that actually works and works great! I hear everyone hyping up chinagrabber but I guess they arnt as good as everyone says. I'll think ill consider getting it elsewhere. Branded or unbranded, as long as it has legit parts inside of it and works the way it should. You could have just gotten one from a bad batch tho.Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
I personally know of three people that received theirs and they are happy. I think the UPS shipper's may handle the boxes roughly, also, i think some people on this forum may be trying to flash the inccorect roms thus bricking their units. Could be many factors.

I have to send the unit to an address in NY, via USPS, then they'll give me a new one.
it is good to see they are working with you to solve this issue. shows good customer service.
I'm still waiting on a new tracking number, and found this while waiting:China Grabber | BBB Review | Portland, ORIt seems that chinagrabber is a US-based business (not far from where I live too). So if they import from China, to where they are in Portland, Oregon, why do they have people send their units to Jamaica, NY?
According to EMS (yeah, they got cheap with the shipping this time), my tablet is now at JFK.

It arrived a few hours ago.Packaging was much better this time. They actually stuck the M16 box inside another cardboard box (with pieces of cardboard for extra padding). This one also came with a mini cd (no idea what's on it right now), and a bit more bubble wrap covering the unit. I haven't powered it on yet (letting it get a full charge first). The paperwork says M16 Android 2.1, so hopefully that's what it is. I'll post an update in a few hours.
Finished charging sooner than expected. It is indeed the M16 running Android 2.1 (says 2.1 update 1 in the system settings). Came pre-set to English (so glad I didn't have to make my way through the Chinese menus). I've got my micro sd card in, and apps are installing fine (the few games I've tried so far either run so slow it's not even worth it (asphalt 3), or freeze the system). Note- Doom 2 doesn't work
At least not the one I got, the app froze my unit. Had to reset it (I used the powerbutton + home button reset). Overall I'm happy right now. Yes, the touch screen calibration isn't perfect, but touch screens in China are dirt cheap (I picked up a replacement for my DS for like $2), so you can't expect top quality. I'm able to navigate just fine. The screen dims when not in use for so long, then eventually locks. I really only want this for entertainment while I'm waiting between classes at the local community college this fall. Sometimes I have an hour or more between classes, so I can use this to do some reading, or watch videos or surf the web.
