i have tried uberoid rom; nice job but, injected go launcher not work
Could you simply download another launcher from the market?

The Uberoid ROM is looking pretty good, and I think it has an installer to use with windows... I may give it a try one day, but for now I am quite happy with the stock rom and a few tweaks...

Let us know if anyone else tries uberoid and your experiences :)

He produces a program for all Zenithink tablets, you pick out what you want, swop kernels for different models. To be honest it was too complicated for me. I compared the rom I compiled with the contents of the official factory rom. I did this just to make sure that I hadn't left out any critical components-----It wouldn't even run, maybe my fault -----NEWBIE--- So it's back to the drawing board, sooner or later I'll brick this pad then for me the journey will be over.

UPDATE. I persivered, Uberoid has produced a program, whereby you enter your model number and it more or less auto generates the correct rom to an sd card. I managed to flash my tablet. It looked to have installed ok, but when booted up, I got what previous members have got. GO LAUNCHER does not work. My model is ZT280H31aC91 I have looked at his list as to what models should work, against mine in red, says not working. I've posted a question, but methinks I will have to reflash to the original factory rom. A couple of guys on the TechKnow forum seem to working on some sort of fix, as to what this is I don't know.

The thing is I really like the stock ics and with a few tweaks and Omarhums 1.2 kernel it's sweet, so I would only try another rom if there is a performance advantage to be gained. Can anyone support that?

Hi Gazman,

Totally agree with. I got a zt-280 c91 h1 3a and running Uberoid without problems.

But I wouldn't discard the stock rom for this one. I also have a zt-282 c91 h3 1n and I wouldn't install uberoid on it.
Don't really like the way the home screen and the list of apps work.

But hey, that's just my newbie opinion.

ok maybe uberoid is not like ics some of us dont like it i respect that. but the overall perfomance was it any better than the stock ics? smoother maybe? application crashing etc? flash? overclock?
if anyone could make a video on how uberoid works/feels on OUR pad would be more than great.
question. by flashing the original o327 we go back to stock right? (i keep asking this on every rom because its really important to have a solution if something goes wrong)

It doesnt matter what ROM you flash you can always go back to stock by flashing the 0327 official firmware.

Cheers

I wish I could of at least tried it out. Like most people with the ZT- 282 upggrade h31a I get the "Unfortunately, GO Launcher EX has stopped" error. Why don't they use the stock launcher? Sigh...

Edit: I managed to get it to work but it doesn't even compare to XpL0Za's rom IMO. Keep up the good work mate!

Also for those of you that are holding out hope that BBC iPlayer may work with this, its a no go I am afraid. As soon as you try and open a program it crashes. I tried flash player 10.1 and the latest one too.

Benchmarked with Quadrant and got a mere 1545!! Avoid this rom!!!
