Any progress on wifi?

Has there been any progress on fixing wifi? The problem I am having is that after a couple of sleep cycles, the wifi says it is on but does not appear to scan for wifi sources. Turning wifi on/off has no effect. A manual scan has no effect. The only response is that my network is 'not in range, remembered'. I've installed the wifi 'fix' but with no effect. The 'changing password' trick also has no effect. The ONLY way to get wifi back is a power off/on cycle. I am running 08_06 firmware and don't want to try 08_20 until it is modded so that I don't lose everything I've installed. Does anyone who is running 08_20 still see this problem? It seems to appear that when the PDN goes to sleep it turns off wifi and when it awakes it turns it back on - at least it indicates that it is on - but can no longer see any networks. Is there a way to FORCE it to do this? I have also been unsuccessful in getting any market app to prevent wifi from turning off when sleeping.Connection does seen to work better if the PDN sleeps by itself rather than manually putting the PDN to sleep via the power switch but still eventually fails to connect upon awakening.

Ok this is going to sound strange but it works for me about 75% connect positive. When your PDN is asleep wake it up with the power slide while in landscape mode, if you have to go to the settings mode to reconnect the wifi manually do all this in landscape mode. It seems many of our friendly PDNs are very finicky saying this it seems that my wifi will reconnect under a minute when I reawaken it in landscape mode usually all the time even in true sleep for the night. Now when I wake my PDN in portrait mode my wifi will not connect and wont even search all I get is that my regular wifi connection is "remembered, not in range". Reboot your PDN then try this it may help or as our friendly PDNs have proven, may not.

Holy cow! that worked for me! Okay, this is now a n=1, but I've been fighting wifi connectivity for so long that I'll take it! Thanks!(I will update if this keeps working).
this is probaly going to sound dumb, but i use ge with the finger slide code lock screen, it automatically comes up in landscape mode to unlock it, thus having better luck with wifi connecting, so far so good
I've now successfully woken the wifi up 4 times after it's fallen asleep. And w/ an n=4, I think it's a keeper.
