Hello all,I don't have a lot of e-comics, just two actually, Kick Ass #1 and Kick Ass #2, I have been setting up my Eken M001 as something that is just a good way to pass the time when having to wait somewhere, managed to convert a full WMV movie to FLV so it plays well, used a free program called FVD Suite for that, no watermark so it's all good, figured having a way to also read comics on it would be nice to have, that way I won't be bored.Looking around, was lucky enough to find a download for a free app called Android Comic Viewer, downloaded it on my laptop, stuck it on the SD card, ran to get the M001 to see if it would work... success! It installed with no problems, clicked the app to see if it would recognize my .cbr file comics, there it was displaying just fine.Clicked through the features of the app, and it worked like a charm, unfortunately my battery was a bit low from playing the Monopoly app someone put here for us,thanks for that, by the way,but wanted to share the link for the comic viewer, if that is permitted...http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/93338Here's a link to the user manual for the app, it has screenshots...http://www.robotcomics.net/android-comic-viewer/user-manual/Hope this helps anyone who might be interested in this sort of thing.

I would also put my backing behind CBV. I have ECOTOX's final V1.0 installed now and it really feels solid and fast. I would highly recommend the combination if you are not also running the custom ROM.

Have you got a link for FVD suite for videos? What settings did you use for conversion?

Let me know how things work out for you with it.

Is it playing, or do you have to click to make it go to normal each time? There is an app from here that defaults to normal view which works great and makes a big difference.

I will post a note here that I seem to have noticed with ACV. The cbr (rar) support is still beta in that app, and quite often reading cbr files results in a "out of memory" error, outlining a method to extract the archive and open with it with a long tap. Rather than unpack the archive, I use ComicRack (http://comicrack.cyolito.com/) on windows, and use the convert to cbz command to change the file to zip format. This seem to work much better, and in most cases I have found that the zip format saves a few bytes per archive as well.

I'm sorry to hear it turned out that way with yours.I've heard there's a sort of sliding scale for performance and reliability when it comes to them, some got a good one and it works well, at least at the time when they mentioned it was, some got a bad one and it has been giving them problems,I got lucky so far, I love my EKEN M001, and I'm planning to buy another one, in black, very soon.I'll probably pass along the one I have to my little cousin, every time he shows up at the house, he uses it, might as well let him keep it the next time, that way I can just set up the new one I'll get. I've been really happy with performance, even touchscreen is working fine, only complaint I have is battery life, but it's not so bad that the device is unusable, I use mine almost every day.
