It won't run on the M001 if it was built for the Motorola Droid. The hardware is very different. But with the source code from Eken (not avilalble - yet) and the Froyo source (is available) it would be possible to make a Froyo build for the M001. But it would likely be a HUGE job. Non-trivial.
