I have search the threads and they seem to wander on me so I will be direct. I have the 7_24 firmware and would like to keep it but I am unable to open any ADE content that I transfer over from my laptop. I have re initialize the reader and have the PDReader functioning (had the nook app hack in place for a while but that is a different story). When I contacted Pandigital they recommend using the latest firmware now before I go and mess up my set up does anyone have the 8_6 or even the latest firmware working with ADE (signed PDF) files?thanks, mark a

I have the 8_06 firmware update, and I'm able to use the ADE on the PDN to read my Borders, Kobo, and library epub books. However, I cannot read books directly on either Kobo or Borders app, and I couldn't get the nook app to work either (but am using the PDN B&N reader, so not a big deal). I thought my inability to read using these apps had to do w/ the 8_06 update, but no one ever answered my question...Anyway, in my searches on this topic, it seems like this is an issue with ADE, not PDN. You might try and deauthorize your PDN device on ADE and then reauthorize it. Then transfer books over. Reboot your PDN and see if your books open.

Whenever you do a firmware upgrade on the Novel you need to force ADE to re-authorize you device. For some reason every single firmware upgrade I've done has cause ADE to no longer allow me to read books that have been transferred to my device.See the FAQ thread or the following for instructions on getting ADE to re-authorize your device:http://www.slatedroid.com/pandigital-novel-android-tablet-discussion/2965-adobe-drm-overdrive-epub-books.html?2965-Adobe-DRM-Overdrive-epub-books=#post22878
