Hi to all I'm new here. I tried to search for a solution from this forum and elsewhere but has anybody got this working and by which method? Or is it possibly already in a custom ROM? I have the Apad with camera version.

Hiapad works for me but can't find the guide there.They advice to come to these forums for a custom ROM

This is very different.We are trying to connect an Android unit to an Android unit. We are trying to use a Hero/Moment's Tether Ad-Hoc network to make your Apad to gain access to this Ad-Hoc network.Not a PC creating a Ad-Hoc to an android device.It can be done by modifying the wifi file in the Apad.http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=82

There's a guide already on Slatedroid blogs. I would have implemented it but I wasn't sure which ROM you guys wanted it on.Also, I wasn't sure if this affected normal Wifi.

Ok, so the links I've posted works only for tethering with a PC and not with another Android device, right?If so for me is enough since I'm intrested in the possibility of thethering with a Nokia phone using apps such as Joykuspot to let aPad use 3G capability of Nokia.

hey boys and girlsI dont think its possible! As far as i know.Ive been working on it for a while and so far nothing.the solutions you have provided doesnt work on apad since its missing the tiwlan.ini file. Apad uses different wireless card so the mentioned file doesnt exist in it.The google code have been open for 2 years and still nothing. dont think google going to do anything about it.We need to find the relative files in apad and mod it.cheersCyrus
