Can you provide a good set of instructions on how to flash the ROM? I went to the witstech instructions listed in another forum, but since the page is being translated from Chinese, it doesn't work very well. Thanks.
Hopefully Wits will have a solution to the battery indicator problem but in the meantime' date=' does anyone know of any apps that will show current level? I've tried a few free ones from the market but they have the same problem.[/QUOTE']If that's the case, it's most likely the firmware that's the issue and you just have to wait for a firmware update.
Hi' date=' thats perfect, It may be a bit extreme to call it a custom rom ATM, but i'm working on some useful modifications. Like getting the expanded status bas full width, you wouldn't have to know where it's declared?According to fracoon who spoke to cyanogen about porting CM said that we could use the same kernel and just build and pack the CM6 build. I'll look into this further when i get home.[/QUOTE'] MNS were you able to look into this at all? Definitely interesting if CM6 could get running on this.

I'll add it to the repack.[/QUOTE']Yeah RC3 for CM6 was just released early this 4 or 5am EDT. It has a link to the newest apps. Adds voice search and updated google search.

There is a new ROm posted as of 8/18. I'm going to give it a try. Hopefully I can get ADB working to root it. Here is the link. Android 2.2 0818ROM[ I have the instructions for adb over wireless but it's not working for me. Any help on that would be appreciated. Also if anyone got USB working on Win7 x64 help with that would be appreciated too.

MNS 3 months? Damn, that's a long time. Anyway I'm not really good at it as I just don't really know what to do. Like I said, I can't even get ADB working for this
Works fine for my nexus, but that's USB connected. Any help there is appreciated, and I can go from there. Maybe if I'm feeling good after that, I can try and get CM6 going...

I don't think they did for Windows 7 64version.
The augen blog worked. Got adb access. Now to try hacking it. Am I better off playing with the new ROM, or trying to get CM6 working. FYI I leave in a week for a trip and I need a working device. Not sure what I want more. Video working or a stabler android system. So whichever you guys think is easier for a week I'm willing to try.
Push the su bin to /system/(xbin or bin' date=' cant remeber) then chmod the su bin to 4755 and then push Superuser.apk to /system/app, reboot and your good to go[/QUOTE'] Got that done a couple hours ago. Took a nap(home sick). Now I'm going to work on ADW Launcher, and possibly a couple other apps to package in maybe a file manager and one other thing.OK ADW Launcher is a go. Have Astro File Manager and Titanium Backup added too. Also I tested out video files. I have some encoded as MP4 480P(Using Handbrake for an iPod) and they run fair. A bit of stutter if there is a lot of action, but if it's rather still it looks good. So it's getting better. FYI that was using the built in media player. What else should I add in before I repack it? I'll check and see if there is anything else good I can think of.
Try to add app2sd function' date=' That would be nice.[/QUOTE'] That's out of my league. And really the Froyo Apps2SD works decently well. Remember this is a tablet, so the amount of stuff you can do with it is less. I have about 25 apps installed on this vs about 75 on my phone.
would someone with the 0818 firmware mind uploading it to a decent mirror? I'm lucky to get 6k/sec out of wits .. thanks..also if someone needs a firmware tester I'm more than willing. I just don't have enough experience to do any custom firmware stuff' date=' or the time to learn right now.Thanks[/QUOTE'] I'll see if I can upload it somewhere. Heck I probably can just mirror it from my house. FYI I'm running the stock 0818 right now(after I hacked it). Biggest complaint is wireless seems flakier right now. Could just be reporting though. It says 0 bars of signal yet i'm sitting next to my AP.
