Hi all,A-Link sells it's own Eken M001 to a whopping price of 160e+ (0%), and I made the mistake of buying one before figuring out what the device really is and that I could get one 100e less.Anyhow, it released a firmware for it (1.7.4_8), found here:A-LINK Europe -- A-Link PAD, 7" color touch screen

Thats interesting, I wonder if that firmware is any different to the 1.7.4

I tested this firmware on my M001, and i have to say, this is the fastest firmware available at the moment, my unit is MUCH more responsive.

It stops responding (the wi-fi panel) if you're connected and go out of range.Another thing is that how on earth do I get the AlmostNexus (I guess that's the name of the launcher?) not to forcibly arrange my icons. Or wonder if that's one of their speed enhancements - fixed desktop

Uh... i gave this firmware a try... Dont know what to say, it don't seem that faster; actually, i did not notice any difference. Anyway, i'll keep it, and try it for somwe days
