Finally I have received two batteries for replacement. Ordered here: Battery Tenergy 5000 mAh
The standard capacity was 3000 mAh, now 5000 mAh at 7.4 V.
On Android 2.3, watch a movie at 40% brightness and WiFi turned on with a 100% charge to 5% - 9 hours,
with standard battery - 4 hours.
On Android ICS, 6-7 hours watching movies from the internet, movies, games.

The protection pcb for the batteries are not specifically ordered, but took it off from the old batteries:
Blue Rectangle Bumper Electric blue Cable

Here batteries with pcb:

Here is the final version:
Gadget Rectangle Gas Computer hardware Electrical wiring

The width of batteries barely fit. But the length is not fit, had to move the speakers. To do this, as you can see in the photo above, I had to cut ledges, where were speakers:

But after having tried the speakers, they would hardly go, so I'm cut off the plastic speakers at the edges to the metal base. Housing had closed without any problems, but there small backlash of housing on the side where the speakers.

ps: Sorry for my English...

Nice upgrade and a good job!

Nice, how much did it affect the sound from the speakers? Very nice Mod... Now if only the software would go along...

Thank you

I did not notice the difference.

Thank you

Great, then this seems like an awesome mod :)
If only the display of this tablet was better... Now that I have it, i would so have loved a IPS panel... I am never going to buy any electronic device without checking out the screen first.

Hey great upgrade so it seems!

I have an upgrade like this on my mind as well, just haven't had the guts and time to...

Could you give me/us the size of the original battery pack? Maybe I can squeeze some other one (than the one you used) in.

Thanks!

Hello!!!
Are there reliable source for similar batteries? Allbattery don't ship to my country
If I am going to buy this tablet, I want long battery life

I just purchased some 6000mah batteries. If I can get them to fit in the C91 I will be selling them in my store. I will keep you posted.

Update: So they came in and they were just 3000mAh batteries.....

Nice work , very nice modification

Here is my new solution. It fits right in the old spot just a little thicker. It is a direct drop in with new charging & protection circuits.

Hi F&L,
what price is it, and what is the weight difference over the stock batteries?

Slightly heavier. 64grams more or a little over 2oz. It is a little pricey at $69.99 right now because I just got one of them to test but it will come down. I'm hoping I can get the sell price down to $54.99 which is just slightly more expensive than the mod in the beginning of this post but you gain piece of mind that the battery is packed right and has protection circuits properly soldered on and insulated.

According to Zenithink:s own specs, the battery is 7000 mAH. Are they lying on their website??

They use two 3500mAh batteries which can be construed 7000mAh but I do not think it is at 7.4volt. Running series it is 3500mAh at 7.4V. If they ran parallel on a 3.2V machine it would be 7000mAh. I'm not an electronics engineer but I'm pretty sure this is how it goes. I could be wrong.

If I am wrong than my 5000mAh drop in is actually 10000mAh and Zenithink's specs are true. Again, I'm not an electronics engineer. Maybe someone can clear this up for us.

No, you are perfectly correct, it is totally misleading of Zenithink to claim that two 3500 mAh batteries connected in series equates to 7000 mAh. This would only apply to parallel connection.

Their website recommends using their charger to charge this battery. Do you see that as being neccessary? If so will their charger be compatible with our tablets?

Not really. It won't matter. I'll also be able to offer them at $54.99 shipped once my first order comes through.

It is what it is. All I know is I advertise them correctly then. I can't discredit them though because there are a ton of tablet manufacturers doing the exact same thing. But....Their newer versions of these tablets are going to be 5V with the new M3 Amlogic chip. So they might be preparing for that with their spec. And when they are then all they have to do is switch the wiring and they got double the mAh.

And....the new C91, C71, Z102 are coming out next week a little birdy tells me.

P.S. Some will charge by USB.
