I am new to this, I have an LY-706 which is probably the same as MID706and am having trouble connecting with"3"3g modem.The config screen asks for name, device,phone no,user and password.according to three the name is 3 prepaid,the tablet recognizes the modem as a huawei e220/e230/e270/k3565 although it is a huawei E160, three says that the 160 should be similar.for the phone no. three says to put *99# and leave user and password blank.Did not work, "3" says to contact maker. Has any one any ideas?I did not know which discussion section to post this as there does not seem to be a section for this generic model.

e220 works well with ly-706 but unless the e160 is the 160x model it wont work,hope that helps

Your firmware should have the WCDMA driver for Huawei then use Huawei E1550 specific usb modem. APN setting should be different if you are using postpaid or prepaid
