This is a mix of AB/Fards/Rotation's 2.6.32 kernel mods and some stuff from the
stock kernel sources.
I added some patches from around the net and (hopefully) fixed the messy powerbutton
handling.
Nice speedup for SD card transfer speeds is achieved using two simple driver hacks i found on some git repo.

It's not tested very well, but if you suffer SOD or other problems you can give it a try and report back.

So what is the big difference to the eg. rotaion kernel ??
Most important change was to the power button interrupt handler.
All the code went out of the Interrupt service routine to
a kernel workqueue. This should end the SOD problems.
The other changes should also help with stability and performance.

Remaining things to fix :

If you press the power button and at the same time touch the front buttons
within a small timeframe and hold the power button for more than 2 seconds, the
device shuts down. This happens on other kernels too afaik.
The front keys should be locked maybe as long as the power button is pressed.

Sometimes after standby the WLAN driver does not load. Still searching the reason.
It's most times easily fixed by going to standby and back.

Sounds like some nice improvements, will try it now with flashback 10.1. Do you need to wipe dalvic & data after/before updating a kernal?

Also I notice this kernal is only 11MB compared to 14.5MB for Rotation's?
No need to wipe anything.
It's maybe smaller as i disabled unused and unneeded features.

I am trying this with Flashback 10.1 on a 1653 model which consistently gets SOD.

Or at least it used to.

This kernel patch has fixed the SOD and has finally made my Hannspad useful. Many thanks antibyte, this is fantastic.

Will this kernel work with the HannsTitan rom?
What's wrong with the hannstitan rom that you would need to update the kernal?

EDIT: I also tried on hannstitan. Seems a bit quicker. Only other thing I noticed is the wifi light is now always on, whereas before it was always off. Which will surely drain battery quicker.

ab fyi,

ROM FB HC 10.1 at 1.0 Ghz

I ran the Stock_LMK kernel for a little while, was on elf prior.

Using smartbench I was reported a score of 2637.

With the Hybrid kernel I have gained slightly over the LMK, score now at 2706 (productivity score).

Games Index at 2776, I have never seen this above 26.. at 1.0 Ghz with any kernel.

Seems like an improved Kernel. I'll let you know if I notice any issues.

Yes, this one is really GOOD. I uses this Version with Flashback 8.1 and it ist the first version that starts the apps very quick.
The touchscreen response is very good und wake up with wlan work (no animated backgroud).

Five stars from me!!! Till now NO SOD!

Ciao RZ

I was getting SOD with HannsTitan which I never got with TNT Lite, this kernel seems to have solved it. The wifi light does go out when wifi is off and screen is off and the tablet is in sleep mode.
Hmm strange, when I turn wi-fi off the light stays on.

Thx for the answer. Did some test and on my 53 andgot sme strange sod behaviour.
But have to test more to nail it to your kernel.
So keep up the good spirit.

Cheers

I've found a bug, I run Flashback 10.1 and when I connect my headset music starts to play over the speaker and not on the headset.
Thanx for the bugreport.
If you ever wonder what h2w switch support in the kernel config is ... lol, dont turn it off.
Thought it is unused stuff

I will compile a new Version.
