Will it be possible to embed a custom ROM made of 2.1 Android on it? As long as the hardware is good, I think the software can take care of itself (or with the help of a lot of Gurus here, it will eventually be possible)

FYI, the Android 2.1 on Zenithink is unstable and very buggy, therefore I will advise you not to order yet. The manufacturer told us that they are rushing for the final firmware by end of this July

keep reading that android 2.1 is unstable on the zenithink ZT180, isnt it the same chip as the Cortex A8 in the A81E and W1060? have tried android 2.1 on the W1060 and works fine

The Zenithink should, in theory, be faster. The reviews on the WiTS are pretty solid though and the touchscreen looks nice and responsive. If you prefer a 7" form factor, the WiTS looks to be a solid choice.
