i got my m001 today to my joy!! but i noticed tht there r dots along the bottom of the screen (holding it landscape and left hand side when portrait) they fade out near to the middle to gone

^ bottom dots annoyingly u can see em when its on any app ^

^ top no dots ^if ya can figure out how to fix it please do yell back at me heheGearsJrn

Those infamous dots. Mine's got them as well. Maybe all Ekens have them. Dang! Wish they weren't there but appears they're gonna be there forever.

i think its a pixel misalignment thing but i donno lolbut do ya have ANY idea on wot causes it? even just a thorey (i dont wanna be left in the dark lol)

I got mine today and it has the same issue. It does not look like it is the screen, but under the screen. Like the material they used to separate the screen from the backlight is a table napkin!I doubt there is any easy way to fix it since it seems to be a design flaw.

i tried it to no avail but really how can it be a table napkin?!?!?! and does tht mean tht EVERYONE has the same problem? ??? ??? ??? :/

More like a doily actually. But I don't think it's *actually* a doily or table napkin...just something that looks like it.

My theory is that it is the touchscreen. If I take a really close look at mine, the "gray cast" seems to be arranged in a grid. That suggests the touchscreen to me.

yeah mine got those dots too however after using it for few hours they dissepear or shall I say I get used to them

Looks like it is in the layers of the lcd assymbly hope to see a solution

odd thing is that my screen has those, but it seems more touch responsive in that area?? anyone else notice this?

I haven't noticed it being more responsive in that area, but if I look closely at varying angles with some fine graphics or letters in that area, I can see the dots are behind the LCD layer. So I'm pretty sure it's the backlight.

I wish these dots wasn't here but I guess its time to take it tht they wil always be here but it would be nice if someone could post some pics of the 'doliy' but I also have a porb with my backspace key when I press part of it it triggers the l key...

Guess it's some manufacturing issue, since it seems to be on all the Ekens.
