Cannot Boot ePad into Recovery?
Posted 20 October 2010 - 01:05 PM
Apologies in advance but this is a new account and I can't post hyperlinks.Yesterday I bought an ePad off Craigslist. Seems to be this model: http[colon-slash-slash]hiton.en.alibaba[dot]com/product/340380898-210052651/10_2_Epad_Tablet_PC_MID_UMPC_notebook_laptop_computer_with_android_2_1_OS_USB_RJ45[dot]html.I used Factory Reset in Android (which didn't actually seem to do anything) rather than the Reset pinhole, then rooted it with Universal Androot (http[colon-slash-slash]wiki.cyanogenmod[dot]com/index[dot]php?title=Universal_Androot) which appeared to work.I found SlateDroid, and have been trying to install a ROM with Google Market without success. I follow the instructions (http[colon-slash-slash][dub-dub-dub].slatedroid[dot]com/wiki/index[dot]php?title=Flash_ROM) but the ePad boots straight into Android, not into recovery. (I expect to see this: http[colon-slash-slash][dub-dub-dub].slatedroid[dot]com/wiki/index[dot]php?title=File:Flash-1.jpg)I've checked that the scripts are executable, and have tried other ROMs on it with the same result. Am I missing something?I am seeking a how-to to guide me through. I am not new to rooting or installing ROMs in Android, having had a G1 and now a HTC Incredible, but I am new to the Chinese tablet scene. Thanks in advance for any advice.Trying to install this ROM: http[colon-slash-slash][dub-dub-dub].slatedroid[dot]com/rom-development/7524-%5B-piece-software-flashed-device-expand-its-functionality%5D-flytouch-256m-1-9-1_fast_-350mhz-_furious-rooted-market-new-kernel[dot]htmlAmong others tried are these ROMS: http[colon-slash-slash][dub-dub-dub].slatedroid[dot]com/rom-development/7194-%5B-piece-software-flashed-device-expand-its-functionality%5D-epad-apad-generic-v1-6-build-1-8-2-1-9_88-non-rooted[dot]html
