Since I've been trying a long time to run my HUAWEI E1752 I want to comment you the steps I've done. Install 0929 firmwareDownload software and install: “hyperterminal” for Windows(install in PC), “root explorer 2.9.3.” (install in zt180) and “best terminal emulator pro v.219” (install in zt180).1) Connect HUAWEI 3g on your PC and Open hyperterminal and put the name zt180, select HUAWEI 3g connection and click ok, select 460800, wait until appear in the down of the windows “connect”.2) Enter ATE and press enter.3) Enter AT^U2DIAG=0 to disabled the modems cdrom emulator+sdcard reader and modem returned answer as OK. If you ever want to factory reset type AT^U2DIAG=2764) Connect HUAWEI on zt180 and then power on, then click settings, wireless connection and lands, click wcdma and reboot zt180. Then click again in settings, wireless connection and networks, mobie networks, click in APN and click in the icon between arrow and house icon on the top of android windows and press “new APN” and complete MCC MNC id's correctly, saved it and then select it (signal strength indicator showed up on status bar at the top of android windows and it was showing my signal strength correctly, but still I had no connection).5) Open “best terminal emulator” and write “su” and press enter in android keyboard for granted superuser permissions.6) Open “rootexplorer” and accept for superuser permissions, click in “system” and click to “Mount R/W” using the button on top of root explorer window, then click in “etc” and long pressed on the init.gprs-pppd script and set permissions as executable.7) Reboot. When you want to use the HUAWEI you have to click wcdma (step 4) and reboot zt180.Thanks to omarahum and nash.villesI hope you find it useful, regards.

Thanks Confia, it works perfectly also with Huawei E1692 (by TIM an italian mobile provider). I think also this thread must be "sticky".Some questions:- Can i use the AT command ""AT^U2DIAG=1" to enable the modems cdrom emulator+sdcard reader?- Why is necessary to disable this function to use the key on the tablet?- Any advice to control the on/off function of the connection? I suppose "APNDROID" could be useful but i'm not sure of the effective working of the app. Thanks anyway.
