Sorry to bug you James, but have you heard anything from your friend to do the hosting?I'd recommend drop.io. They're very simple, just upload any file and they give you a URL to download from, you don't even have to make an acct.I unsuccessfully tried the AsuROM and am looking to get it back to normal again.

[quote name='mingnon;72975]when this gets hosted can you let us know' date=' i'm game to give this rom a try on a stock x5a and/or m701 to see what what works and doesnt work[/QUOTE'] I don't think it will fully work on the X5A or the M701. plasmadis flashed ASURom to his XPAD-701 and now can't use his touchscreen.

FWDN instructions are inside the [how to] thread at the top of this forum.Usualy, holding a button combination gets your device in FWDN mode.

Asure, does the device have to be in FWDN mode and connected before the Nand Data button becomes active in FWDN, also DEBUG level format - before download is not an option either

Yeah on this device menu power that's not the issue. When we get to step three create a NAND disk he option is not there. So can't go on. Before u enter Mac address

First, make sure the device is plugged into AC power. Then hold down the MENU button on the top left, then press and hold the power button for about 6 seconds, then let go of both. If you did it right, the device will stay stuck on "MID" and not go to "hd 1080p mobile infotainment". Then if you have the Telechips driver installed, and FWDN is running, plug it into USB, Windows will detect it and install the driver, and FWDN will detect the device and say "device init". Then you're ready to flash.

@dkelewae Heh, I was in the acore process loop too, which is why I decided to give the AsuROM a shot.@jim Holding down MENU while Android is booting gets you into safe mode, but doesn't do anything about the loop.
