Hi,

here is a little howto for upgrading the tablet T7 to Android 4.2.2

1- Getting the firmware from here:

File: HYUNDAI_T7_ Android_4.2.2(20130607)_prerooted_by_epok04.zip
Size: 252829476
password zip: epok04
md5sum: a43969e9c7b68cf2b274c80d03c6775c

2- Extract the zip file and copy the files at the root of your microSD card
You should have something like this screen

3- Flash the T7

Shutdown the tablet
Insert the microsSD card into the microSd port
Press the Power + Volume- keys together during 2-3s.
You should see the flash process (in orange color)
After a few minutes, the tablet will shutdown.
Power up again the T7

4- Prepare the tablet

Yes,
the option HDMI Zoom is not available anymore (i haven't find it)
anyway, the HDMI output works fine.

I've tested the GPS too, after modifying the gps.conf, the fix is fast enough.
The GPS seems to work better than ICS 4.0.4. Even inside, it still works (green with GPSTest). Accuracy is better (5-6meters)

That's great news, let's hope the T7s JB ROM appears soon also.
BTW did you rooted the ROM yourself? How did you manage to decrypt and re-encrypt system.img?

Hi,
after a few tests, I didn't find the proper flash player to run with naked browser and dolphin (which work with 4.0.4). Troubles with videos in news republic app, SFR TV, ....
The device is getting very hot with clock between 1100 and 1600 Mhz, I used rom toolbox to lower the frequency and change the mode to on demand. It worked once, but disappeared after reboot.

Well, the benefits are lower than the drawbacks, back to 4.0.4. :(

Anyone tried to run CPU Tuner (Root) app or anything else like that to get and keep the clock on an auto level?

I've set the governor to 'on demand' with SetCPU. The changes remains after reboot (if apply on boot is actived). Then, the cpu is idle at 200MHz and up to 1400MHz
For adobe flash, i've restored the adobe flash with a backup. You can also install the latest apk available on the adobe site

Thanks epok04 for the details.
Let's hope for a good autonomy with those changes (at least same as with 4.04).

Unfortunately Adobe no longer supports Flash under Jellybean. This is well documented in other forums. Chrome seems to work resonable well with it though, or Pufin browser. Dolphin won't show flash content.

I also set the governor with SetCPU but unfortunately there is no pegasusq governor (this governor is only for Exynos 4412 devices) in this kernel.
Pegasusq governor (ICS ROM) let the CPU most of the time at 200mhz.
With this kernel you can set "on demand" but the CPU stay 65% at 1400mhz and only 30% at 200mhz (without doing anything).
Go back to ICS with pegasusq governor.

Hi epok04,
Going through the screenshots you have provided, I cannot see the superuser apk installed which is necessary if the rom is prerooted. Kindly clarify if the rom is really pre-rooted or if we have to manually root it. There is also a possibility that screenshots taken were before rooting, kindly clarify.

Sorry, it was before the rooting process.
When i realized that my USB was broken, I've decided to pre-root the firmware as i can't use anymore the USB for rooting and file transfer :-(

First of all many thanks to Epok04 for the rooted version of the 4.2.2 version for the Hyundai T7.

Nice firmware but I am missing some menu-items and options however these will be back in the next version.

Problems I have: powering up the tablet tricky because logo is displayed shifted or the screen gets a gray background and the logo disappears in time, I have to use the reset-button to reboot. Power usage is huge and I am switching services step by step of and I think I have now found the high power usage by mobile services. I can enable "ondemand" scheme for the tablet and I have to make it sticky so it will enabled automatic after reboot.

After use I switch-of the tablet to save power and this is not a problem because the tablet boots within 20 seconds.

I will keep using JB for now to test more and the ICS version is more complete and less complicated to use on a daily basis.

Can anyone help me?
I just bought the T7 a few days.
I cannot flash the firmware for my Hyundai T7 properly
When I copy all the content needed to the micro card,
then I reboot it by pressing Volume+ and power button together.
However, there is only a interface that let you reboot, wipe data etc.
It shows me the recovery interface only.
No any auto upgrade at all.
How can i fix it>
Is this problem related to the type of the micro card? is the model too old
