I've become a fan of Chinese tablets over the past few years and even though I've tried a number of different models, I haven't really had much experience with very many manufacturers. The first tablets I tried were generics I bought off of Aliexpress from what appeared to be no-name factories. The tablets were functional, but the quality was pretty bad and they died very quickly. None of them lasted lasted more than a few months. Later on I tried tablets from Ainol (Novo 7) and Ramos (W6HD and W17Pro) from ********* and my experience was MUCH better. From what I've read on these forums so far, companies such as CUBE, SmartQ, ONDA, Nufront, etc are considered decent but I would really like to get some opinions from you guys before I shop for some of the new Quad-core models.
I'm particularly interested in seeking out which company consistently produces the best build quality (especially with the display) as well as the best durability. Also, feel free to suggest some quad-core models for me to check out. Aside from quad-core, some other features I'm interested in are bluetooth, 7-inch display, Android Jelly Bean, and hdmi out.
the best known china companies IMO are PIPO, Vido, and Ainol. SmartQ is good but they are more of the high-end brand and too much $$$ and Cube has been known to have quality issues. PIPO, Vido, and Ainol are all known for decent Firmware releases. i mainly go with Vido because i really did enjoy my N70 which was a 7"Inch tablet with the RK3066 CPU. now i have bought the M1 (MiniOne) and it looks beautiful. pretty much like a iPad Mini crusher Lol
I just checked out some models and I narrowed it down to two which are the Pipo U1 Pro and the [LINK REMOVED BY MODERATOR]. I would've considered the Vido N70, but it wasn't Jelly Bean. The M1 certainly looks good too, but I'm not willing to pre-order anything. I need to see some thorough reviews first.
The models I posted above are dual core. It looks like I'll just have to wait until prices come down a bit more on the quad-cores before I decide to check one out. If you or anybody else could provide some feedback on the two tablets I picked out it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
*Update*
I Just realized that the Vido N70HDAC IS actually quad-core, so nevermind what I said in the second paragraph; however, while the Pipo U1 Pro is only dual-core it seems as though it at least has bluetooth which is definitely a plus.
forget about the N70DHAC. it has the Actions ATM7029 which... the cpu is good but the GPU GC1000+ lacks performance BUT an update to it's Driver for Firmware has improved it's performance state somewhat but i am still awaiting Vido to release firmware with that Driver for my N70HDAC
the PIPO U1 seems like a good buy and dude... the N70 has Jelly Bean just stores still Advertise it as having ICS 4.0.4
I checked out your review and it seemed very good! You didn't say that much about the screen though. How would you describe the display quality? Does it seem high quality? What about the viewing angles? Also, In your opinion what would you say is the biggest con about the N70?
I bought an Ainol Novo 7 Fire and I'm disappointed with the tecnical services of them. Does anybody know about a company with a goog after-sales service?
I'm looking for a tablet with SIM card to use like a telephone. Can you tell me something about such models of 7"?

Cube has always been at the bottom of my list, but they seem to have made some real improvements, and according to that review they are focusing on 3G.
I am strongly considering the Talk 9x from Cube. It has been pronounced by some to be the best China tab out there now. It and the 8" version look to have the same build quality with thin bezels at top and bottom, making for a max screen size for a compact form.
I now have a Pipo M8 Pro ...9.4" in what I saw as very compact with a bigger screen size. Now the Cube Talk 9x is out with a full 9.7" retina screen in the same exact size ...and thinner to boot ...AND more power!
Pipo and iFive are the best choices and will have the best build quality. Also, they provide very stable and regular firmware updates from what I can see. Other very good choices are Yuandao/Vido, Teclast and Ramos.
Ainol, Onda and Chuwi are OK-good. These would be a 3rd option but I would rather go with tablet brand from my choices listed above instead.
Cube had bad quality with their U30GT. I know because I owned one for 3 weeks before it broke on me. Not sure if that's changed or not but I don't trust them. I won't touch Cube again because of the very bad experience I had with them!
It is kind of hard to know which tablet brands are better than others without having actual tablets in hand to look over, compare, use and play with. This is more of what I've seen from user comments and my experience with Cube and Yuandao.
I made the observation about Cube, and now that I have the Talk 9X, it has to be about the best example of a droid tab coming out of China today.
Heretofore I would have voted for Pipo, but the 9X has won me over in spades! Don't get me wrong ...I still love my M8 Pro, but this design from Cube is in another league.
I got the Teclast p88 and the internal storage died on it pretty quickly, it runs like a total dog now. So I am going to try a different tablet next time. Goes to show teclast does make some poor tablets at the very least.
Sorry to hear that turnip. Very hard to know quality of each tablet maker without having the tablets in hand.
I haven't seen that many bad comments for Teclast tablets. So, maybe you just got a defect tablet? Hard to say. Pipo and iFive make really good quality China tablets. Cube was so-so in the past but sounds very good these days.
Kind of hit and miss. Always good to wait 3-4 months for others to buy and share their experiences before jumping in. That's the best way to kind of avoid buying a lemon. Also, good to buy popular tablets because way more users and likely to get 3rd party developer support too.
Older thread, but hopefully some are still looking.
I have run the gauntlet of Chinese tabs, and most of the way I was flogged badly by poor quality, slow and bloated interfaces ...but I kept going.
Started with Teclast..then Onda, Ramos, Pipo. When I finally got the Pipo M8 I was in love!
Then I found the Cube 9X, still out there for sale and has to be the best for the dollar available. Once it destroyed itself on a concrete floor, I moved forward to the Cube T9, which I am using now.
BEST tablet I have ever had! Hopefully there will be Lollipop soon!
Is samsung a chinese company.. I think samsung is the best producing tabs.
