Hello,

My PIPO U1-pro run perfect for some weeks, but than could't be switched on although fully charged ! Some minutes later it was possible to switch on ? ? ! ! Next day same situation. Made a reset, tablet worked for a while, then every app just made a restart
of the tablet.

Now it's dead, can't be switched on anymore. Tried to install latest english factory SW - not possible - RKBatchtool no green "1" possible. only blue on start and red after trying to flash.

But fortunately device is found with RKandroidTool. Tool says" Found RKAndroid Loader Rock USB" . I think that's good for further trying to bring PIPO back to life.

I unpacked latest PIPO firmware and I think now I'v got all I need to flash the device, that's are :

- RK30xxLoader
- Images: boot, kernel, misc, recovery, system, update
- package-file, parameter, recover-script, update-script

Now my questions:

1. I leraned I should erase IDB first. Is that o.k. ? Somebody posted should run erase twice ? ? ? ?

2. Is it necessary to flash Loader each time ?

3. Which of the images I should flash in which situation ?

4. What to do with the unpacked update image ? ? Can it be used as the backup image by renaming ?

5. Why there are different looking RKAndroidTool's with same version number 1.35 ? See attachments

6. In RKAndroid Tool it's possible to select beside Flash also : Nfs and RAM. What can be done there exactly ?

7. What shall I do with the two script files ? ? Are they used in RKAndroidTool ? ? ?

A lot of questions, but I think that's neccessary for a succesful flash procedure.

Hello,

more tha 177.000 members, but till now no answers. :(

So I did more research by myself. Now I'm familiar how
to use RKAndroidtool correct !

Everything seems to work fine and the tool started to
try to flash the device. But it only reaches " Test device OK"
and then didn't find the NAND Flash chips ? ?

See logfile messages
.
.
.
493 INFO:Test device OK
493 INFO:Start to download IDB
493 Flash Chip Information:
493 NO SIZE(MB) Manufacturer
509 ----------------------------------------------
509 ----------------------------------------------
509 ERROR: No Found 1th chip
509 ERROR: Download IDB failed
255 ERROR: MaskRomThread failed
255 ERROR: Run failed

Is this a hardware error and I can stop my efforts.

Or is there anybody of the 177.000 users who has an idea what else can be done or checked.

Maybe there is still an error in the adress specification of the adress range of the NAND
area. But : This information is unpacked from the latest firmware ! ! ? ?

Has anybody a parameter file from PIPO U1pro OEM clones for me, so that I can check.

Hope to receive an answer now.

Hello there!

I'm having the same problem as you... if I use Rockchip Batch Tool (v1.6) I get a blue square and it fails at the "Prepare IDB Fail"-step. When using RKAndroidTool (v1.35) I get the same error as you:
19:42:55 970 MaskRom Device Path(\\?\USB#VID_2207&PID_300A#6&1A8123C&0&7#{a5dcbf10-6530-11d2-901f-00c04fb951ed}),threadID=5936

19:42:59 390 INFO:Start to test device
19:42:59 392 INFO:Test device OK
19:42:59 394 INFO:Start to download IDB

19:42:59 403 Error:Download IDB failed
19:42:59 406 ERROR:MaskRomThread failed
19:42:59 408 ERROR:Run failed
So, I don't know what to do and I'm starting to believe that it's a hardware fault... I've also tried to contact the retailer I bought it from and it has gone 48 hours now and I've not got an answer as of yet :(
If you do have fixed the problem, I hope you can help me out as well, thanks!

I had the same problem or something very close.
I sent it back in february and they sent me a new one (I received it this week).
I don't know if the problem has a solution because they didn't repair my device, they change it.

Meanwhile I also think it is a hardware error, but I won't give up because:

When I didn't use the device for a week or so and I try again the following
happens:

1. I connect the dive to the USB cable.

2. I switch on the PC

3. Device it not found by PC - no RK30 device shown in devicemanager ! ! !
( Although some days before it was shown ! ? )

4. After some seconds the PIPO start screen poped up, but device will not boot

5. After some more seconds there is the dead Android robot in the middle of the screen,
with open stomach and a red " ! "

But no tool will work now, neither RKBatchTool or RKAndroidTool- No device found !

What can I now do in this situation, has anybody an idea or expert hint ?

Strange is: When I switch of U1, disconnect USB cable and then connct USB cable again
device is seen again by the devicemanager and RKBatchTool give me blue square.

So you have a broken tab for what 2-3 weeks now and found no solution, send it back to where you bought it, it is broken. Mine reacted like yours when I connected it.

Now for the sarcastic minute (I apologize in advance), I love when people think that their product will rise from the dead when it is broken, you are no voodoo priest and it is not a doll. I'd love to be wrong and find a solution but I doubt it.

At least try one of the hardware modification explained in another post or use your warranty but stop waiting for nothing.

Hi ! I have almost the same problem ...
But, when I hold the "Home" button of the tablet, I connect the USB cable on my PC, the RK30 is recognized ONLY during 5 or 6 seconds.
When I try to stard the device, the RK30 is no longer connected when the tablet starts.
I have made those actions more than 100 times, and it's impossible to restore my tablet.
Can somebody help me ?
