Sorgum, Dude! I'm 49. The "kids" all want iPads. We older folks know not to go with the latest fad and hunt for the best bang for the buck. The WPDN is IT! Love making the grandkids jealous, and you can afford to get all the kids their own PDN, but who could afford giving them iPads? (LOVE Geeks.com btw. Got all the kids Digital Cameras from them over Xmas as stocking stuffers.)

Hey,
I am looking for a place to make my 3 initiation posts. This is number 2. I bought my WPDN7 as an introductory Android device. After Android 3.0 is fully in production and devices become reasonable to purchase, I may get one. Until them I plan to explore the WPDN7 to the limits of its abilities.

Been a while since I've posted. I'd been having trouble reaching the site ever since it moved to a new server. The problems were on our end, and are now resolved. Yay!
My husband bought me a new tablet for my birthday, but I still get a lot of use out of the WPDN.

So instead of just posting random stuff until I can make my own post asking a question I'll do it here and hope, by the grace of the burnout, that something magical will happen.
I've had my WPDN for a couple years and have been running off a flash upgrade I managed to get working from here many moons ago. Mostly I've been using it to read and mess around with a couple games, but now I'm trying to do something that requires FroYo (2.2+) (It's some fitness app.). The only update I can find for FroYo is the Cyanogenmod 6.x (BETA)(WPDN). I'm cool with downloading a .zip and installing it, but I have no clue what to do with a "patches" folder in a "TAR" in a "TGZ". I've tried flashing the TAR, TGZ, "patches" folder, and even stuck the "patches" folder in a ZIP and was still met with your fabled "Angry Andy". I've looked though documentation for hours and just can't seem to find how to do it. I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple..or not...I don't know. I'm just frustrated.
