Jim,

Is there a difference in hardware between the original X5A-Sense and the X6D that is now available, or is it just the firmware?

it was reported to me the screen buttons are different images.

i have to get a new photo.

so, im not 100% sure.  same construction, but I don't know the insides.  It's still the same company making them, but that doesnt mean anything .,

Honesty, I can't see them changing much as that would only cost them more (grin)

The battery issue bugs me.  I don't know why it remains if the same hw.

There is a new firmware but didnt help it, so they are making another one without releasing this latest one.

New firmware is always interesting, but I will let the more daring types flash first.  I just finished a three day reload of my desktop PC os and all other software and in no way care for any more electronic induced stress right now :) .

Jim -

Does the Titanium backup work on the HypePad?  From my understanding we can mod the units, use Titanium backup and if we ever have an issue with lockups, boot cycling etc, the backup will restore to the modded version.

Sorry - if this is a newb question

Thanks for all of the support - I have been on here for months reading, got the HypePad on xmas - love it

Thanks davo.

My understanding is also that Titanium is used on the Hype types for backing up and testing.

IT would not hurt to be sure as I've not done this... and ask in the Hype-pad Tutorial section OR in the main Infotm Thread of the board.

Again, as I've not done it, I want you to be sure, but Titanium is the program I've read people using.

LMK how you do.

----1480 -- heard some reports... seems to work well. Don't know the specifics.

800x600 or 800x480 screens?

800x600 good e reader, 800x480 good for widescreen video.

Just hope the no touchscreen shake.

sorry,  800x600

and one might be Capacitive !

Fingers crossed... I'm trying

These guys actually make them, and I've asked about screen shake.

The Samsung models seem to be good. I mean no shake.  Tass reported a slight slight notice in one post, but that's all I've seen.

Anyway, here I sit with my new delivery on my bed (MArvell) and researching 8 inch models... how sad (grin)

I am unusually attentive for a Southerner  :-X

And thanks for finding about the F/W update and getting it for us.

Now... Someone braver than me get this thing, install it, test it, and write at tutorial that a hick like me can understand  ;) .

Hey.. 8 inch models -- still no date (checked today)

UPDATE: MARVELL10 ------- This model was listed as FLASH 10 Support.  Well, seems the Factory sent out False/wrong Info on this one.
According to 2 decent Review sites, the Marvell PXA166 CPU does not fully support Flash 10
And 1 customer also said it's missing.

My Ad is changed. UNLESS IT CAN BE PROVEN WORKING--- THIS IS LISTED AS NO FLASH 10 SUPPORT .  All other stores I find say Supports Flash 10, because this is what we were told.

BUYaDROID IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

I have just secured a new owner for BUYaDROID.  He is a Slatedroid User and past customer of BaD.

It's the same Reliable Supplier, same payment methods, etc... just some new blood interested in keeping the store alive and well.

I hope you all will give him a shot as you did with me.

More info when the transfer is complete.

Many thanks !

James
