With changes in DPI, that ROM runs even on an Onda v812. :yahoo:
First start, the device starts on large phone mode and only apex launcher works. Text and icons are to big. I've downloaded Allwinner Mod and changed the DPI to "tablet (120dpi)" and made a reboot.
After that, the look is fine, but text is small. But device is in tablet look now. After that, I changed back to "large phone mode (160dpi) and rebooted.
Now the screen has the right adjustment for the smaler resolution.

Only thing that doesn't seem to work is the full Market access, same as on unmodified stock ROM.

But for now btt, since the thread is for Onda v972. :)

Thank you for your work Steven. I'm on Onda V812, but it's helpful for all A31 devices.
Did you change the Kernel, too?

Grüß dich^^

How smooth is this ROM? pls make Antutu Benchmark, try to overclock a little bit. And of course battery life. Does it drain from 100 to 10% fast, too and from 10 to 0% you can use it more than 1 hour?
There have been informations that there is a 5th energy saving core. I have the feeling that it is activated if your battery is down to 10%. Because when I'm running Antutu Benchmark (done it 6-7 times and only lose 5% when I'm below 10%) the performance is obviously weaker! 8-10k. When I'm above 10% the device reaches 12.8k to 14k.

It´s difficult for me speak in English, but I try it. Sorry for this.
No, I don´t modify Kernel, it´s the same of 1.32 official Onda, but I rewritten too much things, and new scripts support the tablet was smoothest.
I´m trying now change Bright levels, the lowest level is a little high during night. And after that, I´m working with the JB 4.2 camera with Photosphere, trying port it.
Next week try overclock with SetCPU.

Unfortunately Antutu resumes to homescreen. So it's impossible to benchmark with this tool.
Accidently fxxed up the device while overclocking, must be restored.
After factory reset, most of the customizations are not installed. Will flash again..

Edit:

Antutu starts now after second run score is 12942, equal to stock 1.32 stock ROM for v812.

Yes, like Scorpio said, if you are on Onda V812 just change the DPI to 160
Here is a helpful overview of different DPI and resolutions

@Steve Mar,

Thanks in advance for the work. I had a thought, I notice over at androidtablet.net, Tragidy has modded and coded the rom for Novo 9. The only difference in that tablet and ours is the LCD screen. I was wondering, if you could actually port the LCD driver for our tablet over to his rom and see if you would install it, how well it would work? If you need a copy of the rom, you can go here:

http://www.androidta...-1-00-a-11.html

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Somehow my download rate is only about a 6th of what I should get.
Is it possible that this is a firmware-related problem?
Has anybody experienced the same?

Hi, Dvalin21.
It´s imposible extract drivers from a compiled firmware, at least for me. Onda must be open the code of his rom.
Again sorry for my horrible English

Just wanted to say thanks for making this rom for us. It is the best rom I've tried so far, basically no lag. The only thing I would say is some apps on the market that were previously accessible, are not accessible now, but I know that's just a minor thing. Once again, thanks! :)

Since I flashed this rom, the only storage that is available is the 2GB for the system partition. The rest of the 16GB storage seems to have dissappeared.
/sdcard is not mounted for some reason.

Can I mount the internal storage manually through a console?

I think for some reason /dev/block/nandj is corrupt. Any idea how I can resolve this?

any significant app visibility change in playstore? very skeptical about this rom..the new 1.32 official firmware is actually quite good!
