I might give this a shot. I'm currently using a ROM called infected v3.1 which is for a cube tab, its very smooth, much more so than the tock firmware.

I'll give this a shot shortly.

Some requests:
Add init.d support
Seeing as this is a full rkbatchtool flash, perhaps add cwm 6 which has recently been released for rk3066
Try the ROM I'm currently using and consider it as the base (or at least the stock version which they based theirs on)
Add a CWM version of this ROM for people who already have it.

Thanks for the hard work, I look forward to seeing more of your video guides too :)

Hi, I found a bug.

The Gallery app seems to be installed twice, one asked for the google login details, the other doesn't.

They are also listed in the "Choose wallpaper from" section as com.android Gallery rather than just gallery.

Overall, really nice ROM, very smooth indeed and the 2gb system partition is fantastic.

I'm gonna install cwm now and remove some stuff that I usually remove with an extracted system.img :)

The link was working all along, I was just clicking the wrong one.
Other than the bugs cacoe mentioned this release is superb, thank you Roman!

Roman,
I have been using this release for about 2 weeks now and have found no issue beyound the multi tap issue known to occur with this product. Thank you very much for generating this.

2 Galleries because the 2nd one support online Picasa (google photos) galleries if you have them. I have to keep the original gallery because the camera app is also a part of it for Jelly Bean.

Add init.d support
------Requires boot.img access which I currently don't bother with, partly because I haven't taken the time to learn how to get into it.

Seeing as this is a full rkbatchtool flash, perhaps add cwm 6 which has recently been released for rk3066
------NO... I just added this to a PiPo S1 rom and it is causing issues. I have had similar problems in the past (it screws up device memory formatting). Ultimately I would rather have speed/stability than bells and whistles. No offense to fans of CWM, I just don't think it adds enough to the device to be worth the stability problems. Also, CWM6 has to be made for each device specifically, I am not aware of how to do it :( so if there isn't a recovery.img already available I am kind of out of luck.

-Try the ROM I'm currently using and consider it as the base (or at least the stock version which they based theirs on)
-------I am interested in taking a look. What are the major advantages? Do you find it to be quicker than the TNT stuff based on stock?

-Add a CWM version of this ROM for people who already have it.
---I know it probably seems silly, but I just don't mess with CWM. I am now developing for 30 or 40+ devices. Can only do so much for each :)

Thanks much for the feedback! I will certainly take some of it to bear. More and more people are asking for things that require boot.img access so that will probably be my next hill to climb. I definitely agree that init.d support is a nice perk as is being able to load some drivers.

Kind Regards,

Roman

Thanks for replying, I imagine you're very busy with all that work!

As for the ROM I'm using, it does at least seem to be a little faster than your default stock ROM.

The only issue I've found with using it (and I have been using it for weeks now) is that the task switcher thumbnails are upside-down. But it is very silky smooth! I seem to get better battery with it too, at least with WiFi on sleep disabled. I can still have juice left for a couple of days even when it's just been sat around idle which I didn't before.

I guess it's easy enough to install CWM manually and I have init.d support with the ROM I'm using. I'm pretty sure you don't have to edit boot.img any more to do it. In fact, there's an app called "pimp my rom" which among many tweaks adds init.d support right from within android. (apparently on any device)

Hi-

I have a Ployer Momo 7 Talent and am trying to find firmware which operates better than the original.
On this forum was noted a new firmware from RockChip, but the link appears dead - does anyone have a copy ?

NOTE*, this is for the "Momo 7 Talent", which I guess is different the standard "Momo 7".

From this site: http://www.rockchipf...ckchip-firmware
This link: http://www.rockchipf...3H-20121109.zip

.. I get the following:
"
Page not found

The requested page "/sites/default/files/Ployer.MOMO7-Talent-RK3066-V2RO-CN-V1.0-4.1.1_CUS-JRO03H-20121109.zip" could not be found.
"

Any help is appreciated - the current firmware has a terrible lag at basic menu navigation, and then other minor issues.

Thanks in advance :good: - B

I found IT !!! :clapping:

I have not yet tried it yet :nea: , but I found it.

The link is simply further down on the original page than I saw - just scroll down on the same page - shees:
http://www.rockchipf...ckchip-firmware

And you'll see the firmware, and further down are release notes as well.
It looks like the top link is the "original stock Ployer" firmware and further down are the "Top Notch" firmware versions, and further down are "Custom" ones - but there appear to be no "Custom" ones at this time.

Will post notes if I ever get around to trying it.

I have been using this release from Roman for about a month now.
This version still has the multi-tap issue.
This version also does not allow LBE to be installed but that is likely due to the Build.prop mod based on SGS II SGH-i777 for improved market. I'm guessing the SGH-i777 is probably not supported by LBE.

Other than that it does everything I want it to do and I have had no trouble with it.
I watch Amazon Prime videos all the time using the Dolphin mini browser. My Ainol Advanced II constantly hung trying to do the same thing.

Just upgraded to this ROM and the install succeeded without issues and I rebooted the device.

But now, whenever I use it, every few seconds, even whilst I'm tapping away, it randomly goes to what looks like a screensaver. I black background with 4 coloured bars in the shape of a cross that just move around the screen.

Wait a few seconds, and it goes again and you can use the tablet.. but this is happening several times a minute, making it unusable for me!

------------

Just a further update.. The screensaver seems to last about 10 seconds before just disappearing again, and kicks you back to the home screen (and locked if you have auto lock set). I've tried setting sleep timeout from the default 5 minutes to 'never', and changed auto lock to none, but the screensaver keeps kicking in, even if you start a full screen game.

Maximum time I get is about 20 seconds before it takes over..

So.. back to the stock rom for a while.

UPDATE:- Sorted now.. used 'restore' option in rkbatchtools instead of 'upgrade'.

I've downloaded the firmware and I've opened the Talent in flash mode. I cannot find a working driver though. Moborobo couldn't find it, the drivers in RKBatchtool didn't install.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and an AMD dual core processor.

Help pls

Hi again,
I finally was able to update my Talent with this img.
Seems to be just fantastic! Everything i wasn't able to install was there. And the 2 gb rom is fun.
Thank you.

Any idea why - all Youtube videos when plays halfway. Wifi will slow down and very ga from mid point up.

all videos plays well at least till half way mark than it would lag as if wifi suddenly slowed down .

is this a flaw can be corrected ?

thanks
