I don't have bluetooth dongle, but I have tried with RJ45 dongle, and this one is not recognized by the venus (and im sure the dongle works has I use it with an other ainol tablet (with 4.0.4 android)


it's strange that the menu parameters, network, doesn't have ethernet entry, even if you choose 'more' you juste obtain vpn, mobile or other options but nothing about ethernet.

perhaps there is a file with à commentary that makes ethernet not recognized ... i don't know

After I update my ainol Venus firmware..
The menu GPS in setting >> location services >> gps is missing now
Do you have the original firmware

When I install gps software, it cannot detect gps

I also have questions:
1. Was the menu gps in setting >>location services >> gps FAKE?
Because it was there before I update my firmware
2. Does someone here have original firmware for ainol Venus?

can some one please make a small guide on how to use tablet production tool.
I have successed in connecting my device to the tool, but when i start to download it says DOWNLOAD_ADEC_FAILED.
Does anyone have an idea on what im doing wrong.

Change to another computer. It works for me.

Sorry but that didn't help. I have tried on two different Win 7 and one XP machine.
I must be doing something wrong.

here is what i have done.
1. Install tablet tool
2. start program and load the firmware that Sikke has supplied.
3. choose both misc.img (MISC Partition) and system.img (SYSTEM Partition).
4. Connect Ainol novo 7 Venus tablet. (Win 7 recognize tablet as USB harddrive).
5. Update USB harddrive driver to Actions USB 2.0 WinUSB device.
6. tablet tool recognize my device and i start the download, but it fails after a few seconds with the error DOWNLOAD_ADEC_FAILED.

Which of the basical config should be checked.
I have PRODUTION, FLASH_ERASE and FLASH_READ_CHECK as it is per default.

Should i do anything on the tablet be download?
Please help, its a bit frustrating:(.

I have done all steps in Madducks post but I cant get the product tool to recognize my tablet! In the device manager it looks like the Actions WinUSB Device drivers has been properly installed. But the tablet is not recognized when plugged in.

What am I doing wrong??

Since I have never flashed firmwares on android devices before I didn´t know about the "5-second-volume+ start" (what do you call it?). When I did that everything was quite straight forward. Now my tablet is MUCH faster than before! Increased the AnTuTu score from ~5000 to ~12000. The difference in responsiveness in the UI is massive!

Loooks like the tablet is on and connected to the PC as a mass storage device. I made the same error and when I was told to power off the tablet and start it by pressing volume+ for 5 seconds it was recognized by the flashing tool.

I can play it too, but dead trigger is really laggy, the play store comes full by default.

Hi all Novo 7 Venus fans, I can confirm, the new fw (0203) is really great,
I've used it for updat, but be sure use all the partitions see screenshot:
The score after update is much faster: Antutu 11519 (6500 original fw.) and Nenamark2 47,5 (27 original fw.)
