I'm not a fan of benchmark but you can really see why this is faster..
The processor is running at max speed. Troy made the max to 1320 for cm10 .. i recommend his values too.

0127 is awesome due to its HDMI Compatilibity fix!

Everything works.

Only bad thing with both cm10 and 0127 is the color banding. but hey, almost everything works!!!

Comments: System sounds are working(notification tone). Other sounds (Youtube, music players etc.) are not. Issues with SD card mounting (ROM problem). It seems that batch 20130116 has been manufactured with both G-sensors.

I'll edit this post when i get complete information. Required information on required firmwares and recoveries are scattered "nicely". I'll try ParanoidAndroid and it seems that I must first install stock 0128.

Dear fuser-invent, i believe this the most important thing that you do. I'm looking at the other development topics for Hero and it is a mess. Although a great work has done (i.e CM & CM10.1) information reminds me a soup. It's there but not organised. There are different batches of h/w different roms, different recoveries, and they (of course) don't work with each other. Someone can read instructions " put this there , flash this, wipe this, use this recovery with this stock fw" but it's really hard to decide if the a newly developed rom is right for your tablet. As a result there are people that say "flashed xxxxrom and i'm fine" and people that crying for help. So, apart from the rom that you wanna make i believe that this way of organising info is great. I suggest when you finish to post a list with the requirements of the rom in order to work fine. Keep up the good work

All of these tablets use the same CPU. I think that all "Firmware / Development" -subforums should be combined as one. Now there is five and issues and information is starting to overlap. On other hand information does not reach every subforum. As example ParanoidAndroid has comp zip for Crystal but the information is on CM10.1 thread which simply has link to other subforum(Fire) where the actual ROM thread is.

One combined developer subforum and one thread which states the differences between batches and display/kernel/etc. versions. Information needs to be cleaned and concentrated.

@ konstapa - Thanks, when I gather enough information I will do a "Get Started" guide like I did for the Crystal.

@ Jote - I agree that info could be cleaned and concentrated but I don't think one developers subforum would be the solution. There are too many hardware differences between the devices, even if they do have the same CPU and it would take forever for people to look through the threads. I do understand about Christian Troy's threads though because he uses the same base ROM and then releases compatibility zips, but his threads are set up that way because he develops for so many devices that he can be following every thread daily.

well. i'm a member of a forum about 4x4 cars and mods and they have a nice approach: Two "pinned" topics with the title "X brand model info/database" (by model they mean batch in tablet world) and "X brand Bible/FAQ" which is practically a how to guide (with links or written text). For us it would be nice to have a database with the requirements of every batch in terms of stock firmware and what updates or mods can be done safely. On a Tech Bible we can have the "how to...", such as proper flashing and things that need special attention. Just making suggestions imho...

Over 60 apps installed and running smooth and stable so very happy with it. Got mma8452 gsensor and no mods required to build.prop with CM10.1 comp zip 1.2.7, but I did notice while I was briefly on 0128 the screen orientation was wrong. Not many action games installed but Beach Buggy Blitz running smooth.

Comments: G-SENSOR BROKEN after entering Settings -> Display -> "The menu where you can edit the soft-buttons on lower-side of screen" (sorry, I don't remember the exact menu). Build.prop editing didn't work. Flashing "Novo1003-Hero-0308v1_bloatfree.zip" fixed G-Sensor!

Hi guys My hero is the 20121216-G021088, with firmware 1219, but I have updated to the new firmware 0308-v1, which updates to build 20130308.v1
Would just like to add that this is a big improvement on the firmware 1219 that came with my Hero, which was always freezing and crashing. The other big plus is the fact that the Bluetooth is actually working well on this firmware too, and no problems transferring files. WiFi is good, signal too, and the tablet is smooth and very usable experience with Novo launcher. Youtube I was expecting to fail, but that too worked out of the box so to speak, so no need for me to install the old version, I can't recommend this firmware enough, and only had one app compatibility issue with play store, and that was ITV Player, which I downloaded with my galaxy tab 10, and transferred via Bluetooth, and installed fine, and working well, so in conclusion, I'd highly recommend this firmware update.






PS: I have tested over 400 apps from the play store, and all worked fine with just one that had a compatibility issue!!

And when I press -volume along with power the following menu options appears on the screen

1. Reboot system now
2. Apply update from ADB
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
5. Apply update from sdcard

NOTE:- THERE IS NO THIRD WIPE MEDIA PARTITION

I request u to please do help me and guide me step wise how I update my tablet pc to android 4.2.2 using sdcard and

Sorry we cannot help with Hero II in this forum, it's only for Hero I that uses a different system chip so the information here is not compatible.

G-Sensor: Dont Know, as (in terminal emulator type "su" for root and then "getevent -p") gives me a lot of events including info on both bma250 n mma8452. I would appreciate how i get to know what exact gsensor i am using. buildprop conf is like below

Comments: I have a strange problem with my NOVO HERO 10. The only custom flash that can use is, if i flash cm-10.1-20121221-UNOFFICIAL-elf2, gapps-jb-20130301-amlogic & hero-cm10.1-compatibility-1.0. Here everything works except the gsensor, the tab doesnot autorotate vise versa. But if i flash with other cm-10.1-XXX-UNOFFICIAL-elf2 except 20121221 my autorotate as well as sound both does not work.
Also any other ROMS including official ROMS except version 1115v2 does not work on my tab. All official versions gets installed but does not boot back after final reboot after installation. I always run into emcc, sdcard not mount problem after installing any other rom except 1115v2. I have shared some exp here http://www.slatedroi..._60#entry829497 , plz have a look.

I am total at sea why this is happening.
