I got 22.9 @ 1280x800 (expanded desktop mode) and High Quality graphics ... Comparing all the 40s and 50s people got with "similar" tablets is something wrong with our tablet or is it just mine ?

With 1207v2, the Hero 1 apparently gets around 29 fps.
With my Aurora 2 (Feiyu 0103), I got 35.6 fps. Same chipset as Hero 1, but lower screen resolution (1024x600).

But why is it with the CM10.1 much slower than with the 1207v2? I like the CM10.1 very much, but the 1207v2 is nearly 35% faster.

My RK3066 tablet does not do any better.
N80 (RK3066) - 1024x768
Quality: 29.6 FPS
Performance: 31.7 FPS
I think anyone getting about 30 FPS with 8726-MX chip is doing great to excellent. My N80 should be getting 35-40 FPS @ 1024x768 but that does not seem to be the case. Probably because of less optimized firmware from Yuandao.
S3 has Mali-400MP4 @ 400 MHz. RK3066 Mali-400MP4 @ 266 (or 250?) MHz. That will make a performance difference too.
*CUBE U30GT (RK3066)- Defective; buttons broke in 2-3 weeks; Bad quality control!!! Must return to China for repair! =(
*WOPAD I7 (RK2918)

@Nickos I have momo7, 1024x552 resolution, running at 1.4GHz with interactive governor, my score is 30fps. Plz shed some light that why its getting low score in comparison with Aurora II? In Taiji I get 45+ while Aurora II remains under 20. Thanks

Now I got 30.1. Seems like 1219 really makes a difference. By the way, I didnt encounter any problems so far.

Nice work amlogic, nice work.
I've tried citadel on the aurora (so with a 1024x600 screen res) and these latest libs and it gave 40.3 fps (a +5fps ~15% respect the previous libs)

If this happens on all RK3066 tablets, then either kernel issue or using older Mali driver.
The Mali driver gets updated overtime. Should use the latest to get the best performance results.

If this happens to some RK3066 tablets, then they are using older Mali driver and tablet makers (or Rockchip) must swap in newer version and release new firmware with it.

Or could just be hardware, too. The title is an iPad port so the way it was coded is probably just more optimized for PowerVR instead of Mali graphics. I think this is one case where we'll probably see better performance from A31 than RK3066.
Rockchip RK3066
Mali 400MP4 250MHz: 9 GFLOPS
Allwinner A31
PowerVR SGX544MP2 350MHz: 22 GFLOPS
Apple A5 (iPad 2)
PowerVR SGX543MP2 250MHz: 16 GFLOPS
Apple A5X (iPad 3)
PowerVR SGX543MP4 250MHz: 32 GFLOPS

Aurora (1024x600) uses 8726-MX chip - Mali-400MP2 @ 400 MHz. "Seems" to score higher than RK3066 but need one @ 1024x600 to really compare with. Hero (1280x800) 8726-MX scores about same as RK3066 (1024x768) tablet.
So, I will stick with older Mali driver or kernel issue with RK3066. Driver being my first choice.
I wonder if the Mali driver is updated by Rockchip or tablet maker?
