Just installed it. Happy Spring Festival indeed!! :yahoo:

I have a TM/Freescale Sensor Fire. (s/n 20121216)
I installed it over feiyu 1031 and the first time it was stuck at boot logo.
Flashed it a second time and booted just fine!

First impressions:

Smoooth and faast! (compared to the ICS FW)
Reliable G-sensor operation
Pop sound still there, less pronounced
Very good Play compatibility
Faster wake-up when pressing the power button
Can't hear the 'mosquito' sound yet. I will check at night

All in all, a really great FW for the TM/Freescale tablets.

Hi,

It's been a while since I last updated my Fire however, I want to have a look at Jellybean to see what that it is like. I have not installed any firmware made by Freiyu and I have read that there are different procedures for installing different developers firmwares. Please could someone be so kind as to advise me how I would go about updating my Fire to this firmware? Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.

Woody

I already have the 0113 firmware ( 4.1.2 ) JB (Feiyu)
Will installing this 0130 erase the data again?

Thanks!

Feiyu FTW! :)

I think if you do not do the 3wipes, the data will not be erased.

Does it still produce black images when using the camera? Youtube app working? How about netflix? Battery? Woot! lol

@johntzig can a new fire model (1211tm, stock rom) with the 800mb partition straight up flash 0130 or have to go through a different install? Thanks

Yes, you can flash the ROM straight, I did this coming from 1211 kernel. Only remember to wipe data, cache, media before and after flashing.

4. Mosquito noise still present at low-medium brightness
5. Popping sound still there, weaker but still there

Camera working for me (Fire QM)
installed youtube from the market and working too

I'm not planning on using this ROM much, I want to install CM10.1 for multiuser but not having much luck with the instructions in that thread so far.

I read somewhere that Feiyu won't release any new versions besides this one. Anyone knows why that is ?

Only comment I read was not to expect a jb 4.2 anytime soon. He's a volunteer and has limited time like the rest of us.

Can't use that patch i think it's only for qm models. Technically there shouldn't be any mosquito noise for TMs if you leave it at maximum brightness. Although this one's a little more quiet than the stock rom (1211) that I used. I have to say though, I'm impressed by this rom. Not sure about the battery reading just yet, but I'm using battery monitor advised by ralleweichs at another post and it seems to last longer than usual. Will give out more info once I've got more hours on it.

This is a very snappy rom and I like the ICS stock launcher as opposed to launcher on JB 4.2 because of the hot zones on the screen edges. I prefer touching the screen edges to move between desktops instead of swiping (which allows the screen to stay cleaner with less smudging). Bluetooth also works as well. Disabling touch sounds (and going with haaptic feedback for key press reporting) eliminates the popping noise that have plagued this line of tablets.

Nice job!

:good:
