Another 7" QuadCore Tablet is soon to arrive on ChinaMID Tablet Market. ICOO ICOU7GT is going to be an Allwinner A31 chipset based Tablet. Allwinner A31 for some of you who don't recognize it yet is a powerful QuadCore ARM Cortex-A7 processor paired with a stunning OctoCore Imagination Tech PowerVR SGX544 graphics and a whooping 2GB of DDR3 RAM which is set to provide exceptional performance especially on Heavy 3D Games while having a power envelope that is very similar to an ordinary DualCore ARM Cortex-A9 based chipset.

Like the other Allwinner A31 based Tablets, ICOO ICOU7GT also lacks a Bluetooth Connectivity. So if Bluetooth is important to you, forget about buying any Allwinner A31 based Tablets. Or you may just simply buy a Bluetooth USB dongle, but that depends if the kernel supports it.

You can Pre-Order the 16GB version of ICOO ICOU7GT QuadCore Tablet at an Online Store based in Shenzhen China for a very cheap price including a world-wide free shipping. It comes with pre-installed JellyBean 4.1.1 Android OS and ofcourse, Google PlayStore and other essential media apps.

ICOU7G Tablet uses an HD Display Screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixel and with the help of IPS Screen Technology, a very popular hardware feature that offers an incredible wide viewing angles and vivid-bright display, it makes the Tablet perfect for 3D Gaming, HD Movie Playback, and Browsing HD Photos.
Looking at the picture, it seems to have a hardened plastic screen like PiPO U1 is using rather than the very popular scratch resist glass screen that other brands uses. Although hardened plastic are much tougher than glass screen, it doesn't protect the screen from having hair line scratches in due time from everyday use. So a good Screen Protector is necessary here.

On the top bezel of the screen, we'll see the Mono-Firing LoudSpeaker that is probably going to be good enough indoor. I don't expect any miracle on outdoor for this cheap Tablets.
Just above the Speaker is the 0.3MP Front camera that can be use as WebCam for Video Calling.
There are two black dots near to the speaker which I believe is for Proximity Sensor and Light Sensor, such features is usable in some cases like having an app that automatically switches off the screen when a flip cover is closed or just set the Display Brightness at Automatic, sensor will detect the suitable brightness for the Tablet depending on your surrounding.

The shell material uses a combination of plain Aluminium and Plastic without any nasty markings and logo like others have, this is what makes it good looking. It has very nice and clean round edges with Plastic on the top that is very critical to having a good WiFi connection stability. It carries a not so impressive 3300mAh Battery (some says 3600mAh) and is rated to operates maximum of 6hrs depending on use. If we're going to think of its power consumption as RK3066 based Tablets, it could last 3~4hrs on Gaming and 6hrs of Web Browsing and Movie Playback.
Power Button and Volume Rockers are at the side together with the supposed to be SIM slot probably for a 3G version

It offers a complete availability of interface ports like a microUSB port with Host function, microSDCard slot that supports max of 32GB expansion storage, and a microHDMI v1.4 port which has a Full-HD resolution output (some says it can also provides Bluray (4k pixels) Quality output). Still better than nothing.
It has a standard 3.5mm Audio port for headphones and can only be charge using its microUSB port.
5.0MP Rear camera is placed in the corner which can capture HD Videos/Photos with AutoFocus function. Although don't expect quality photos or videos when you're in a slightly darker places or at night as LED Flash is not provided here.

how is icoo as a brand compared to the big names in china? this looks like the spiritual successor of ainol fire, but will it have good enough build quality to make it stand out? I will wait for the reviews when this is out that's for sure.

Finally, I got hold of them. To be honest I'm impressed with quality and assembly. All covers are fitted perfectly. No sticking out edges, no cracking when you hold a device. Design is also impressive, thin edges and light weight make this one perfect for one hand use. Back cover is made of aluminium, which looks great and make an impression. For 10 pcs I've bought, none is faulty. Screen is brilliant, and not even a single dead pixel. Software works more than properly. There are some micro slow downs (less than part of a second) but I think it's unavoidable due to SoC used. And PowerVR rulez in all games:D WiFi signal strength is good in my opinion (3 thick, ceramic walls and 10m, doesn't stop it).
As for cons: there are 4 screws, which are obviously to small in diameter and length to hold themselves :), some minor assembly faults (like connectors not fitted properly). And finally the battery, it holds for 2h full brightnes full HD movies watching, 4hours with half brightness. It's really small, but mostly because of it's design and weight.
