Hello everybody,

My Venus has a annoying bug, it automatically off the wifi and cannot turn on again. Maybe it has something relevant to firmware, a flash may fix it.

Please help me to get Venus firmwares, and how to flash its firmware.

Thanks in advance,

Bests Regards,
Mjhieu

I have received a new Venus Yesterday.
Everything it was ok until tody morning. Wifi has gone. It's imposible to turn it on again. !!
I don't know if is a rom problem or a hardware issue.

I've sent an email to the manufacturer AINOL-NOVO but they haven't reply me yet.

Hi Yulimchen,

I downloaded it successful, but dont know how to flash it. Which way to flash it? using livesuit or system recovery. I tried recovery, and it aborted. When I extract it, I saw there 3 img files, so livesuit cannot use.

If anyone know how to flash firmware for Novo 7 Venus, pls help me. Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

I got an other link from Ainol, a week ago : http://dl.vmall.com/c0fsfz6f1h
Sorry it's still a chinese website, but in the .rar file there's also the tool supposed to be installed on Windows.
As for me, the so called tool is not recognizing my Venus tablet. So no flash for now, and still a soft-bricked tablet after a mistake I made:)
But if you manage to flash, please share. Thank you.

Here's the link to another flash tool for the Ainol (http://www.slatedroi...__gopid__582658). Don't know if it's any different from the Ainol website. I downloaded it from there and tried it but it would not recognize the tablet. I was able to download a new firmware (v203) and right now downloading this other flash tool also from another post but it's so slow.

Will let you know how it goes once I've finished downloading it.

Got it installed. The new ROM (203) looks neat. With version 131, memory available was only 701 MB now it's 881 MB.

I somehow bricked my Venus with this update. Did everything how it was described in the pdf also the upgrade tool told me that the upgrade was successful. But after the upgrade the tablet does not turn on anymore and I'm also not able to access recovery mode (tab is not being recocnized by the upgrade tool).
just be warned...

found it out yesterday:

I had to hold "Power" AND "Volume +" and then plug in the usb cable to go into adfu mode.

then i had a weird DOWNLOAD_xxx error after 5 seconds - had to change my computer (maybe uninstalling driver and redownload firmware would also help) to install the new firmware (203).
Now it is all up and running again - with a great antutu score, but the same quadrant score like on 131

Hi there,

I also flash new firmware 0203, everything is so ok but the wifi still cannot turn on as it was b4. I have about 3 novo 7 Venus tablets, all of them cannot turn on wifi. When turn them-on on the first time, everything work very good, wifi work. Then later, 1 or 3 day, their wifi cannot turn on anymore, really dont know why, Is it hardware issue or software issue? No hope

Hello everybody, after some research and test many venus tablets in my company, I recognize the problem here is HARDWARE issues, no way to fix it, because the wifi chip is dead, so firmware cannot do anything. If you have a good venus table then it will good after 1 months and go on, if you have a dying wifi chip tablet then later few days or a week, the wifi gonna be dead. So replacement and RMA is the only way, send them back to ainol, that's all.

I've owned my Ainol Novo 7 Venus tablet for about 6 weeks now. This tablet looks marvelous but performance was borderline acceptable.
I'm a noob here and a noob to the Android universe. I had read that a firmware update has lead to better performance but the down side of such a task is that you might end up with a dead tablet, a brick if things go wrong!!
A couple days ago my tablet's performance was extra crappy and during a moment of insanity I decided to try a firmware update (I was going to do an update eventually but was waiting on someone to do s step-by-step video). Like I said I'm a noob to tablet flashing.
After a few failed attempts I was eventually successful. I did piece together a video that might be of use to other noobs who are also hesitant in performing a firmware update. Since this was a spur of the moment decision the video is not my best work but should provide a few tips to those wanting to perform this upgrade.
Here's the link: http://youtu.be/qh_FLyVcqmc

The result of the firmware update is now my tablet not only looks good but performs good.

I hope this helps someone else who might be on the fence or who had questions regarding the upgrade procedure.\

Here's a quick video to help you out if you are worried about ending up with Chinese language after a firmware update.\
This short video will walk you through the procedure to chose a new language (in my case, English).

I seem to have bricked my Novo 7 Venus. I accidentally only uploaded the boot section on the firmware updater, not the system does not start at all. I've tried the Volume + and Volume + with Power button while attaching it to my PC with a USB cord, without success. Anyone have any suggestions on getting this thing up and running again? Thanks.
