I´ve tried it with the chinese version (of the tool) which succeeded. But after that the rockchip tool doesnt see the tablet...

I can use the tool when I'm flashing a new firmware (usb debugging must be OFF): in that way the drivers are working.

But when I try to root the device (using another tool found online, the TPSparkyRoot.bat), the USB debugging has to be ON. Now the device is seen by Windows as "M9"... and the drivers don't work anymore (so, obviously, the TPSparkyRoot doesn't see the tablet).

Am I the only one with this kind of problem??

ROOTED SUCCESSFULLY!!!! :yahoo:

I used Moborobo to install M9 adb drivers, and then the TPSparkyRoot tool to root the tablet.

I had just an error message (adb wasn't able to install SuperSU), but no problem at all.

At the end, I manually installed SuperSU and Busybox and then used Root Checker.

"CONGRATULATIONS! The device has root access!"

Would you mind giving some instructions how it was done??
And where did you find the required software?

Pegli ...
Allow me to be a bit lazy ...and just ask you how you are liking the M9.
OS Smoothness
WiFi
App compatibility
Build
Battery

I like the M9, but I am curious if it has some of the issues that the M8 had/has.

Thanks

Sorry if I haven't made a personal review, but this is my first tablet and I don't have a basis for comparison.
I was very busy in these days, and I haven't tested it very much.

For what I saw, the battery is quite good: after 9 hours of moderate use (some browsing, some music, root test, flashed a new firmware, wifi always on...) it's at 54%.

OS is really smooth... I haven't found any lag (but I used just a small number of apps).

Wifi not as good as my smartphone, but it works in all my house (20 meters and several walls from the router)

Build is ok: it's tiny and solid. Unfortunately I've found a couple of dead pixels, but they are really small and visible only on a perfect dark background.

The worst thing is that when I started it for the first time, the screen had a sort of "flickering". After some time, it disappeared. Sometimes it returns when I unlock the screen... but not all the times. Now I have flashed a new firmware (20130319 Cleaned) and for now it's ok...
:pardon:

For now, I'm happy (really good for the price). :good:

By the way, does anybody know if "http://www.nomadtablets.com/" is a reliable site, or has bought from them before?

When trying watching video at the same time downloading files through "ttorrent", the video doesn't run smoothly. Anyone else get low performance while multitasking?

Will the new firmware (20130506) stop the dropout WiFi? Irritating...

The original earphones make a irritating noise when watching movies/listen to music on low volume. I havent tried other headphones. Is it just crap original earphones or is it a problem with the tablet?

When setting the brightness to the lowest, it is still very bright. Is this fixed with the newest firmware?

When these complaints said, I have to say I really enjoy this tablet. I assume fimware will develop, and I hope the processor may be squeezed for a little more power for multitasking.
