Connection problems Can't connect to google since about a week ago

Folks

I haven't been able to connect to google since about a week ago.

Looking around on google, a lot of people are talking about a hosts file problem.

Is anyone here having the same problem?

Is anyone still here?

If you have a solution, please let me know.

omarahum, thanks very much for the reply

it worked - Log in via youtube first (log in via market still errors out but maybe will sort itself out later)

any idea what caused this? google changed its host addresses but our tablets couldn't update themselves?

anyway, cheers for the help

now to find my sanity again after 3 days searching and a factory reset! ouch!

Glad it worked, and glad rikkinadir found the solution and posted the fix...

Not sure what caused it, I haven't used my ZT-180's in a while, and haven't updated anything on them in a longer while.... (Enjoying the ZT-283's currently, they are what I thought the original ZT-180 was going to be when I bought it two and a half years ago.)

Yeah, firestrikers said it took a little while before he was able to use the Market again, but eventually it did start to work again after doing the fix...

First post - Wondering if this is my problem too. My zt180 suddenly stopped its News & Weather function and the Market loads and loads but never arrives? Can't understand why as my normal email still connects (albeit with a problem, VERY slowly downloading attachments), however gmail is skewed, won't send or recieve and seems to spend all its time Synch'ing.
Any help gratefully received.
