@Paulzie,

Have you ever think about putting 2x Gnote1/2 battery in serial, its definitely thin and small enough, gnote2 2x3100mah, gnote 2x2500mah.

Samsung Galaxy Note II Battery (3100mAh) EB595675L
Samsung Galaxy Note I Battery (2500mAh) EB615268VU
Samsung Galaxy Note extended battery (4200mAH) 605574, 54g

Unfortunately all the Gnote batteries are on the thick side (5.9mm-6.1mm) in addition also being shorter and narrower than the battery cavity available to us. Keeping in mind the T7 battery is 3.8mm thick. I don't have a T7 to evaluate how a 2.1-2.3mm thicker battery will affect the way the rear plastic cover attaches to the unit. I'm endeavouring to stay on the conservative side of say 4.5-5.0mm tall at the most. I figure the rear cover would be able to flex to accomodate an extra 0.7-1.2mm.

Shortlist of hassle-free battery upgrade candidate so far

4.8mmx82mmx92mm (5200mAh)
4.5mmx79mmx90mm (5000mAh)
4.5mmx79mmx92mm (5000mAh, 82g)* -> vendor advises this is more like 4500mAh in real life
4.8mmx82mmx92mm (4800mAh, 84g)

Note that all of these are just slightly taller/wider than our 3.8mmx77mmx89mm cavity. Is there an extra few mms to spare in all directions?

I've been discussing the 4.5mmx79mmx92mm (5000mAh, 82g) battery with the vendor. He believes the rating is closer to 4500mAH than the 5000mAH advertised and confirms it weighs a hefty 82g. Quite a dense unit there so might actually hit that capacity. 4500mAH would give us more capacity than a Nexus 7!! Many of the battery vendors give a couple of mm variance in their units. Still have the issue of it's 4.5x77x89mm being larger than our cavity. I figure the T7 back cover could flex a bit to allow the extra 0.7mm of width without any issues.. perhaps could even accomodate the 4.8mm wide unit instead? He advised:

for the tablet pc battery can be compessed a little ,
so our battery 457992 will fit for your tablet pc

So anybody want to have a shot at this 4500maH battery?

Put two battery in series will not work because the voltage will become the double(3.7V*2). Instead it's possible to put two batteries in parallel, you must only be careful to charge the two batteries at about the same charge level (the best is to check with a voltmeter) before to solder the wires of the batteries in parallel. This will avoid an high and uncontrolled current flowing from the battery most charged to the battery less charged.

Did anybody encrypt the tablet? I tried via the settings, the process started, showed an Android logo for ~4 hours then I given up and rebooted the tablet. Nothing changed, the tablet remained unencrypted. Any idea? I use 4.0.4.
