I've posted some repair photos in the "usb port failures" thread.

You can see the soldering (lack of) issue in the photos.

Do yourself a favor and don't try soldering the connector unless you are experienced and very good at soldering extremely small parts and have the proper needle tip type soldering iron. This repair is not for someone without experience.

Find a way to glue it down as I suggest in the other thread.
