Any one think this is a nice tablet? It seem the 1200x800 tablet are pretty much all I need. I kinda like the unique look of this tablet. I might get one of v99 quadcores though.

Also anyone know anything about this brand? I can't seem to find much information on them or this tablet actually.
Thanks.

after the feedback on the chuwi v99 a31 quadcore I bought that due to positive feedback and the dimensions. I am hoping to find a similar sized tablet and get a case for it. Not those generic one sie fits all cases. Lightake lists the battery for the v10 as 7000mah. I think this is a good tablet for not retina screen size.

Ok, so the v99 had good reviews? The only reason I'm questioning the mah is it is listed on deals_prime and pandawill as having 9000 mah. Might be hopeful thinking on my part though.
Anyone have this tablet that can comment on it?

It is equipped with Bluetooth and GPS.
Can the specs listed at the aliexpress be trusted?
Am searching for a 9.7/10.1" tablet with A31 and bluetooth.
Recommend anyone?

The review is generally positive. Amongst other things, Wifi strength is said to be decent, firmware pretty stable and video playback strong. There is no concrete battery test but it says it should easily achieve 5hrs. In a test of a looped 1024x768 MKV at half brightness, with wifi off and volume at half it dropped 8% in 1 hr.
HDMI is confirmed, BUT it has no bluetooth and no SD card slot. From what I have read on some other sites I believe the battery is 10000mah. The design is nice but the PPI of 1280x800 on 10.1 inches is lower than 1024x768 on 8 inches which is not great.
UPDATE: New Video...

There is no sound at all from the right hand speaker. The left one is fine.
I assumed that it must be a loose connection but then I read THIS (use Google translate). This is an excerpt...
“appearance Like dual speakers, but in Fact, Only one loud, loud speaker”
So maybe it’s not faulty at all. Can anyone else confirm that the right hand speaker is in fact not a speaker at all?
By the way, apart from this I really love the design. It is very slim with an aluminium casing and excellent Wifi (seemed as good as my Ramos W42).
Thanks
Jez

Yes you are correct. The author of the video on youtube ( http://youtu.be/ucbkD-srGnQ ) replied and confirmed this is true, bit of an odd decision, but maybe not a deal breaker. Did your friend mention any firmware problems? What was battery like? In the video multitouch implementation looks a bit stuttery too

Thanks for the confirmation, and yes that is a very strange design decision. I would almost call it deceptive as most people would assume that there were two speakers.
He had only received the tablet the day I saw him so maybe a bit too soon to say about battery life. From the brief play I had with it it seemed pretty smooth in operation, good screen and I didn't notice any touchscreen issues although I didn't test multi-touch. The 4K video player also worked well and video looked very good. I'll ask him if he has noticed any other issues since then.

I think the only way anyone's going to get decent battery performance from any of these A31 tabs is to go for one with a lower res (non retina) display and larger MAH battery. To be honest I think a lot of these Chinese manufacturers just cant optimise their firmware very well, samsung manage to squeeze like 9/10 hours out of 7500mah cells in some of the larger galaxy tabs.

I signed up to the site because I'm curious about the SD Card before I finally commit.
Some say it's not there, some say it is...
From the reviews (questions) on Pandawill, the staff are adamant (confirmed twice) that there is no SD card (TF) on this device.

Could there be different batches of this unit some with some without?

I think the moderators simply do not have the tablet itself. And they are guided by the characteristics of the table on their website.
Today is going to buy this tablet on pandavill.
Most embarrassing idle (unfinished in the firmware (?)) / No second speaker. Can we hope that they fix it in the next firmware?

Anyhow, I look forward to more reports as people get this. I love the design, looks great, but there are just seeminlgy too many "gotcha's" at this point and for us the Momo 12 is near perfect.
In the Momo 12's favor:
1. Bluetooth and definitely MicroSD on-board.
2. RK3066 is stable and battery life is decent (6000 mAh and we pull over 6 hours I believe. Performance is actually better per-core than the A31 but the A31 can do 4k video (not sure why you need this when your screen res is capped at 1280x800, hdmi out perhaps?).
3. It also has an excellent and thin design
4. Speaker is very good however it is also mono
Looking forward to more info!
Kind Regards,
Roman

Yeah It's a hard one to call to be honest. For me blutooth is never a deal breaker and with the rk3188 just around the corner i'm not sure its worth investing in the RK3066 at this time, although saying that RK3066 tabs have now dropped in price a touch. SD card slot is pretty much as good as confirmed on this and given the Chinese manufacturers' poor track record at power optimization, 10,000mah is definitely welcome.
The main issue is this tab is by no means cheap @ around $250 from the usual exporters, some even more and chuwi's track record on hardware build and software is a somewhat unknown entity. The A31 in my mind looks pretty good, the allwinner A10 had better power consumption than the RK3066 although was underpowerd and while the quad core cortex A7 config on the A31 will not rival the quad core A9 of the RK3188 the PowerVR SGX544 is a nice powerful GPU and should give a smooth experience on non retina tabs, in some ways I would actually prefer it to Mali 400. Saying that the RK3188 uses a 28nm process so will probably even beat out the A31 on power consumption too.
This tab has one of the best looking designs though I've seen in a while and the 5MP is actually apparently not completely rubbish like most chinese tab cameras although you can't expect much. Would really like to see a proper more in depth hands on and see how the firmware actually performs. 1280x800 on 10.1 inch is not great either.
Also...with key lime pie rumored to hit in may at Google I/O, i'm not sure investing in any tab at this time is even worth it without a solid upgrade path mapped out.

The audio quality is good but quiet.
For some reason the HDMI cable doesn't seem to do its job.
I'm sure both issues can be patched. I'm playing around with some utilities. I've run Vendetta Online, Subway Surfers, AnTuTu and Quadrant. All work. VO had some minor graphical glitches. Video playback was good. Still no BT and no TF slot.

Cool, whats the battery life like? Is the Firmware stable? Is the screen resposive/nice? Thats wierd that it has no TF slot as in the video that was posted the guy said that it was hidden under a plastic flap, maybe there are 2 versions

The battery life so far is decent. Between being in heavy use then on standby then regular use off and on she lasted 4 hours without a recharge. The heavy use was doing up some stuff _and_ sending prints from google docs. The firmware is fairly stable. A few glitchy bits here and there but I've only seen it freeze once so far. It is VERY responsive. Like as responsive as a fresh iPad.
Plastic flap? I'll look into that.
Ok no Plastic flap I can see. The youtube video might give me some ideas where to look but I've no idea which one out of all the Chuwi videos it is.
The HDMI does work but some how only my TV at home seems to play nice with it. I suspect there's either a setting on the tablet or some thing I can fix on the TV set to make it work.
-Update-
The tab is metal.
There is a metal plate on the back, very small towards the bottom of the case just above the little strip that labels the interface connectors. Push a narrow, I'd suggest plastic, tool into a pinhole on the right hand side of the plate, pry it upward and slip a pick, another tool or a fingernail under the plate and continue to pry the right hand side away from the case. It should come away and reveal the TF socket.
Once revealed, the TF socket bracket can be opened by sliding the bracket left with a fingernail or tool. center the TF card on the leads, close the bracket over it and slide it right until it clicks. If your v10 doesn't detect the working card then turn it off and try again. The clamped TF card shouldn't wiggle at all.
To replace the metal plate that covers the TF socket just insert the tabbed end of the plate into the slot on the left and then push the plate's right end back into the case. It should click into place.
